Nestled in the beachside community of Lanikai in Kailua, this fully furnished home is over 1400 square feet of luxury living. Beautifully decorated with antiques and Asian art, this unit is the whole upper half of the main house with its own separate entrance. This entrance is at mid-floor level with a Brazilian cherry staircase leading to upper and lower levels. The caretaker lives in the lower level.
Your home away from home has a large living area that basically divides into two sections: one with a comfy couch for watching television, hidden behind carved house panels from Borneo; the other for reading or computer work. Down the hall is a laundry room with a stacked washer and dryer as well as a sink for pre-soaking clothes. Just a few steps away is a second bedroom with a queen-sized bed and an adjoining bathroom (Rubber ducky is included!). Across the hall is a blue bedroom that has two twin beds and its own separate bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is also an eat-in kitchen fully equipped with plenty of dishes and glasses as well as pots and pans.
Outside is a small garden area with a teak table and chairs for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or a dinner hot from the barbecue. There is a wide array of tropical plants as well as a very large monkey pod tree that spans two properties. It is home to a large number of songbirds (manu mele), providing you every morning with a serenade!!
We are approximately a five to seven minute walk to the world famous Lanikai Beach, undoubtedly, the best swimming beach in all of Hawai’i. The town of Kailua is only a seven minute drive. It has a plenty of shopping including a new Whole Foods Store and some great restaurants. Even closer is the Kailua Beach Center that has kayaks and other ocean toys for rent. The property is managed by long-time Hawaii residents.
