    To cultivate relaxation and enjoy get-away-from-it all time outs, come and sleep in one of our listed site Charming B&Bs or one of our S/C homes at the Château in Bessas at the gateway to the moors and the Ardèche and Cèze River Gorges.
     
    Enjoy our B&B rooms or our S/C homes in historic but fully-modernised stone-built houses.
     
    Our four B&B rooms are on two floors of the Château and can sleep two, three or a family of four. Each has a different decor and all have en suite bathrooms and toilets. We have given top priority to grace and space with a reading lounge, terraces in the shade or the sun and a relaxation corner beside the swimming pool.
     
    During your holidays there are beautiful villages to visit and you can swim, canoe and kayak on the three nearby rivers – the Ardèche, the Cèze and the Chassezac.
     
    There are a host of caves and museums to visit too – the Caverne du Pont d’Arc with replicas of 37,000 year old wall paintings, the Aven d’Orgnac with its stalactites and stalagmites, the Château de Labastide de Virac, the Alphonse Daudet museum in Vignasse and others to discover as you explore our fabulous countryside…

    Dormez à Bessas, au Château, dans l’une de nos Chambres d’Hôtes de Charme ou dans un de nos gîtes, lieux préservés, aux portes de la garrigue, des Gorges de l’Ardèche et de la Cèze, pour cultiver la détente et le temps de vivre.
    Venez séjourner dans une de nos chambres ou un de nos gîtes. Vous serez dans des maisons en pierres chargées d’histoires, mais mis au confort du présent.
     
    Nos quatre chambres d’hôtes occupent deux niveaux du Château, pour deux, trois ou en famille à quatre. Chacune a été décorée différemment, mais toutes ont une salle d’eau privative avec un toilette. Nous avons privilégié l’espace : salon lecture, terrasse à l’ombre ou au soleil et un coin détente au bord de la piscine.
     
    Pendant votre séjour vous pourrez visiter de beaux villages, naviguer sur une des trois rivières voisines : l’Ardèche, la Cèze ou le Chassezac.
     
    De nombreuses visites de grottes et musées : la Caverne du Pont d’Arc, l’Aven d’Orgnac, Le Château de Labastide de Virac, La visite du musée Daudet à la Vignasse et d’autres encore à découvrir sur place…

    Facts About Destination :Located in Bessas, Château de Bessas is in a rural area. Commanderie de Jales and Le Pont de L'ile are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Cévennes National Park and National Nature Reserve Gorges of the Ardèche.
    Area Information :The Château of Bessas is in the middle of the village of Bessas, in Southernmost Ardèche, but as the village centre only has 50 inhabitants you are close to the surrounding moors for beautiful walks and bike rides. As we are right in the South of the Ardèche, our nearest village is BARJAC, a village of character, in the Gard which organises events all year round with two antique and junk fairs – at Easter and on August 15th – the postcard fair, a French song and word festival (end of July, beginning of August), a jazz festival at the end of August … and every Friday morning, a Provençal street market. Barjac is on the Uzès road.

    Charming little Chateau Bessas

    During our tour through the Rhone valley we staid one night at Château Bessas in the tiny village of the same name. A very charming little chateau, nice & clean rooms and an amazing view around the landscape. We were very satisfied.
