The “Top-of-the-Dam” campground is a Group Campground for use by families or camp groups and overlooks Lake Godstone. It fits up to 10 tents/small RV’s. There are two utility stations each with power and water, a 12' x 12' shelter, two fire pits, two large picnic tables, and a porta-potty. There is an area comfort station with toilets and showers nearby . First four guests are $40.00 per night total for exclusive use of the campground. All additional persons are 10.00 per night each.
The space
This is a group campground designed to serve large family campouts or groups of any kind. The first RV/Tent with up to four guests is $40.00 per night (provides exclusive use of the campground) and each additional person is $10.00 per night. Fishing is great in Lake Godstone with five partially covered docks and with ten miles of trails around the forested lake and the upper wooded meadows there are plenty of nature exploration and viewing opportunities. Bring your own small, non-motorized watercraft to enjoy Lake Godstone or mountain bikes to explore the trails. The sports complex has an outdoor sand volley ball court and lit basketball court. Sunset and sunrise views are breathtaking from the top of the dam. There is a comfort station with showers and toilets within walking distance and a porta-potty at the campground.
Guest access
The campsite is restricted o the guests of the group booking the campsite, up to ten RV/Tents. All other facilities on the 188 acre ranch are booked separately to other groups. Lake Godstone and all trails are shared with other guests.
Other things to note
The ranch holds a wildlife property exemption through the state and county and the heavily wooded portion surrounds Godstone Lake with 10 miles of all-weather trails around the lake and the upper meadow where wildlife can be viewed from several deer stands. In addition to deer, dove, wild turkey and varmits such as coyote, bobcat, raccoon, skunk and armadillo there are numerous varieties of birds and fowl and we are constantly placing new covey's of quail on the property. An outdoor basketball court, sand volleyball court, sports field and field house with picnic area are available for bookings as well as a gun range (to guests booking the entire ranch facilities including the sports field, campgrounds and cabins.. A new one acre Crappie pond was added below the lake in October of 2020.
