Welcome to “A Mountain Escape”! A wonderful retreat that can accommodate up to 16 guests with 5 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, and easy paved access! PLUS very close to the New River State Park and Zaloo's Canoes Kayaks and Tubes.
You and your entire family and friends will enjoy spending quality time in our beautiful and spacious cabin. We are located just minutes from the New River State Park and in a gated log cabin community with paved roads.
The kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, double oven for quick baking, and the fridge has a built in ice/water dispenser. LUXURY all the way!! We can accommodate large groups for up to 16 guests with plenty of paved parking. Plus we have central A/C for those warm summer months.
The luxurious living room has nice leather furniture, 55” flat screen TV with a great surround system. The open floor plan will let you feel connected with the open kitchen, dining, and living area. The 20’ cathedral ceilings also give you that feeling of openness with tongue and groove throughout!
There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor: 1 king size master suite with cathedral tongue and groove ceilings, ceiling fans, California king size bed, private master bathroom, and sitting area with 39” flat screen TV. The master bathroom has his/her sinks, whirlpool tub with soothing jets, and an amazing walk-in shower with massaging jets!
There are 2 other bedrooms on the main floor with each having a 32” flat screen TV and a Jack and Jill bathroom with tub/shower combo. There is additional sleeping in the basement with the 4th bedroom having a queen size bed and bunk bed with twin size over full size bed. The 5th bedroom has 2 sets of single bunk beds and a queen size futon (NOTE: We do not endorse sleeper-sofas or futons for any guest over 12 years of age due to comfort factors). Plus the 3rd full bathroom is in the basement area as well with a separate shower/tub room and toilet/sink room. There’s more room to spread out in the basement family room with Foosball and a card/game table.
Everyone will enjoy spending quality time around our beautiful wood burning fire pit on the front deck with rocking chairs. There’s also a storage bin on the front deck with several folding camping chairs. Outside, you’ll find a nice yard with 2 swings hanging from a tree. The young and young at heart will enjoy swinging away.
2 night minimum for off peak seasons
3 night minimum for holidays and the entire month of October
4 night minimum for the Thanksgiving holiday
7 night minimum for the July 4th and Christmas/New Year holidays
If you need additional sleeping, we have 2 other cabins close by. "Mountain View Manor" (sleeps 10-12) is a 4 bedroom, 3 1/2 bathroom cabin with pool table across the street and the other one is a 5 bedroom 3 1/2 bathroom cabin within a short walk near the pond called "Water's Edge Retreat" (sleeps up to 12). These 3 cabins can accommodate up to 40 guests combined.
NO SMOKING is allowed inside our rentals!

As you plan your trip to the mountains,please remember we do get rain, snow and some foggy days and occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is your responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
