Most experienced travelers would agree that the Caribbean island of St. John is the most beautiful of the United States Virgin Islands. The primary reason for this is that 60 per cent of St. John has been set aside as a U.S. National Park.
Completely surrounded by the park, within a heavily-forested area, is a small community of very private homes. Among them is "Orchid Court". Designed for privacy, serenity and relaxation. For those actively inclined, an on-site tennis court is available for play.

A trickling fountain welcomes you to enter the patio and leave the world behind. Private, yet breezy, your "outdoor room' enjoys a view over Francis Bay, Tortola and Jost Van Dyke.
At the opposite end of the patio is a table and chairs. Here you may choose to take any of your meals outside; or you may wish to relax in privacy with a cup of coffee and a good book. Just off the patio (also connected to the bedroom and shower) is a luxurious spa for ultimate relaxation.
You enter the cottage through its combined kitchen and sitting room. The kitchen is fully outfitted including cooking utensils, dishes and glassware, refrigerator, gas stove, automatic dishwasher, blender, coffeemaker, microwave, and a dining table.
This sitting room also has a full-size convertible sofa, TV, CD player, DVD player a large ceiling fan, and a lockup closet for your use.
But, perhaps best of all, almost the entire north wall of this room is constructed of folding glass and louvered door panels that afford you the same stunning view seen from the patio, as well as allow the Caribbean breezes to flow through this very open cottage.
The second room of the Cottage contains a queen-size bed, two tables with lamps, a ceiling fan, and a chest of drawers. The bedroom has an attached half bath.
The bedroom also has its own private exit that leads to a beautiful outdoor shower, and -- just beyond that -- a four person spa for total relaxation at the end of an active day.
And like the kitchen, the bedroom's east wall has folding door panels that can be opened for a great view and plenty of breeze.
Linens are renewed weekly, and soaps and paper products are provided.
