Perfect location close to opera, comfortable and very private. Easy to get to town, also.

Lovely. Hope to return next year.

The property is spectacularly beautiful!

We had a wonderful week staying in this beautifully appointed guest house. The view is breathtaking. Close to two excellent restaurants, and a ten minute drive into town. Would go back in a minute.

Just Left After Our Second Stay

We just finished our second stay at The Guesthouse on the Hill, and left with the same appreciation for the beauty of the location, the wonderful charm of this very special house and the feeling of rest that comes with being a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle of being in Santa Fe proper. Waking up each morning and looking out at the unobstructed view of the mountains brings a feeling of peace and awe. The 6 mile drive to the city center is beautiful, especially if you take the historic Old Road out of Tesuque. The owner is gracious and attentive to your needs, but very careful let you have the the privacy that we came for. Yes, we are thinking of a third visit.

charming and comfortable with wonderful views

I loved this little cottage. The views were wonderful and the cottage was so charming..just what you would imagine a casita in Santa Fe would be. The house had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. We were greeted with music , a bottle of wine, and delicious brownies (thank you Donna!) Our dogs also loved the cottage and were even provided with toys to play with. All of the rooms are nicely decorated with items collected over the years. We ate at the Tesuque village market and the food was good, but if you need groceries go into Santa Fe. The owners are very nice but give you privacy. We had a great time, would highly recommend, and would stay here again.

Adobe style, mountain views, short drive to Sante Fe

We were specifically looking for something that looked and felt old style Santa Fe and this guesthouse delivered. It looks exactly like the pictures: adobe style walls, kiva fireplace in the living room and master bedroom, wooden beams, wooden floors, tons of NM tapestry and very cosy. There is an abundance of books/games and information. The bottle of red wine and phone call to ask if there was anything we needed was a nice touch. The beds were comfortable, the towels fluffy and the mountain views from the living room and master bedroom were breathtaking. We loved that there was a washer and dryer ( plus detergent!) and a cooler to use for day trips. The place is a little older, so if you are looking for pristine and sparkly new with state of the art things, it's not for you. And yes, there is a lot of decoration on all surfaces and not a lot of empty drawers and closets. But for us it was a non issue , because this place oozes New Mexico charm and it feels like you are staying at a friends house ! We were here with cool weather so had no opportunity to use the patio, but I can imagine it would have been awesome to sit on it and take in even more of the view. We would recommend this place and hope to be able to come again. It is most definitely good value for money in the Santa Fe area. No cleaning fees!

We loved it!

We truly enjoyed staying at the guest house! Mr. Amos was very attentive. He brought candy to our children and he put out lanterns for Christmas Eve; we truly appreciate it. This is an older building, exactly what you would expect when visiting Santa Fe and my wife loved the decoration and the style of the house. The town is only a short drive and it is also very easy to access the ski area which was important to us. If it will be available at our next visit we'll be back!

5th Visit

Bottom Line: (For all renters with issues) We have been returning to Santa Fe on a yearly basis for nearly 20 years and this guesthouse is definitely the best price( no cleaning fees, pet fees, etc to run up the daily cost) and, without a doubt, a superior mountain view. Price, pets, location....you cannot beat it.
