We stayed at the sunshine cottage the last week of January and had a wonderful time. The cottage is immaculate and all amenities available for use in the kitchen. What we liked in particular was the free pass to the beach for two chairs and an umbrella. A couple of days we walked and one day used the metered parking; $1.50 per hour for a max of 4 hours. There is a great deli/takeout litererally around the corner that we stopped at to get lunch/dinner. We would definitely stay again.
My husband, daughter and granddaughter had a very pleasant stay at Sunshine Cottage. We were in town for the Christmas/New Year holiday break with a grandson born in between. The home has a very convenient location: close to family in Delray Beach, to I-95 north & south, Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach Airport, beaches and Atlantic Avenue. There was a Catholic Church for Christmas mass right out our front door, off George Bush Boulevard. There are many walkable restaurants in the area: French Bakery or Sandee's for breakfast; Patio Delray for dinner, Marianne Gourmet Shop for take-out meals and Sail Inn for sports bar. The house was very clean and we appreciated the carpeted stairwell for our 2-year old granddaughter to slide down. I made Christmas brunch, prime rib, filet mignon and chicken enchiladas in the well-equipped kitchen with a deep kitchen sink. Both bathrooms had excellent water pressure and were equipped with hand-helds--great for showering children. A Powder Room on the 1st level was very convenient as well. The Master Bedroom mattress and topper were firm and comfy. While we did not get a chance to enjoy the MBR balcony, it would be a nice location to enjoy evening cocktails. Overhead fans throughout were welcome. I would stay here again, which is the best testament!
The house was perfect! Ion was very friendly and accomodating! We couldn't have asked for a better place. My husband and I, along with another couple, had more than enough room! The master bedroom with the balcony was big and roomy. The guest bedroom has two single beds but they're on wheels so they were easily pushed together to make a big bed. The cutest brunch area and a screened-in patio was a perfect spot to hang out at night to avoid the bugs, while the huge patio was perfect for relaxing and eating lunch outside during the day! The location was perfect! You can take the free downtowner ride to the beach, restaurants, and bars on Atlantic Ave! The bar "sail inn" right across the street was an awesome first or last spot. Friendly people with darts & music. Would absolutely stay here again.
My family and I had a great experience at that location. We hope to be renting that place again very soon.
