Sandy River Retreat Farm Stay is a working experiment in self-sufficient and sustainable family farming located in Rice, Virginia.
We have 16 acres of land, a natural vegetable garden, fruit trees, a small flock of sheep, free range chickens, bunnies and a couple of miniature donkeys.
There is no other place like this around here. These cabins are close to the 740-acre Sandy River Reservoir, that is rated 2 for the best bass fishing in Virginia. The Gallion State Forest and Twin Lakes State Park are just a few minutes down the road.
