Relax on the Lounge Chairs with a cool beverage or step right down to the beach.
     
    There is also an Oversized Main Floor King Master complete with a chaise, a futon (for families with small children this is wonderful), and a Deluxe Bath featuring a Separate Shower, Jacuzzi Tub, Double Vanities, Dressing Table and lovely custom tile work. The smaller of the 2 Laundries is on this floor.
     
    The Top Floor features a wonderful OWNER'S SUITE with a large King Bedroom with Private Beachfront Porch; a Desk area with Computer & a Wet Bar with Undercounter Refrigerator; a Huge Master Bath with Separate Tub and Shower, Two Vanities and beautiful finishes. There are 2 More Large Bedrooms: A Queen Bedroom, and a Bedroom with a Queen Bed plus a Daybed and Trundle, each with a Private Bath and a TV. The Very Large primary Laundry Room is on this level.
     
    Great porches offer Amazing Views of Gulf Shores Sugar White Sand Beaches. This Quiet Area of West Beach has a single row of beachfront homes, plus a single row of homes on Little Lagoon. It is a wonderful, quiet area of the beach but it is less than 4.5 miles from the heart of Gulf Shores.
     
    Amazing Beachfront home with 4 large bedrooms, 4.5 baths and lots of extras that will make you want to never leave! Mar Tortuga is a wonderful custom home with space to graciously enjoy time with your family amid comfortable furnishings and luxury touches.
     
    It is a cliche but true, pictures don't do it justice. You really do have to see it to believe it. We drove by Mar Tortuga for several years and didn't really give it a second look but the moment we walked inside, our jaws dropped! Actually we only got as far as the covered area underneath with the mural and swings and the best sea oats providing a magical pathway to the beach and we knew--this is a really special place.
     
    Mar Tortuga means Sea Turtle--most years Sea Turtles nest in the dunes in front of the house. If you come in October, you just might see their first journey to the sea.

    Great Family Retreat

    Our family, 8 adults, 1 two year old and our Golden Retriever enjoyed our week stay in Gulf Shores immensely. The home, Mar Tortuga, was well suited for our family. The house was clean and well appointed. The beds comfortable and the living area spacious. The beach access was convenient and due to the location, uncrowded. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular.

    Thanksgiving 2016

    Mar Tortuga is a wonderful house. My family, which includes children, their spouses, and grandchildren enjoy spending our Thanksgivings together at the beach. With such a large group we need a house with a layout that can accommodate the needs of adults with small children as well as teens and tweens who like to spend their time on the beach. We\'ve spent several of our holidays in Mar Tortuga and it\'s always terrific. The layout is perfect for us and the location right on the beach makes access easy. Needless to say, the view is fantastic. The house is well maintained and the rare issues that arose are promptly responded to. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone.
