MAN-O-WAR CAY is conveniently located in the hub of the Abacos with the surrounding islands only minutes away by boat in the shallow waters of the Sea of Abaco. MOW is accessible by private boat or by way of Marsh Harbour (MHH airport) where guests can rent their own boat for touring the islands or take a 15 minute ferry over.
BEACHFRONT PARADISE... This tropical beachfront home is situated on 170 feet of spectacular white sand beach. Enjoy magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean from over 1,300 sq ft of covered and open decks surrounding the main house. The private grounds are a sanctuary... combining the natural landscape with well-maintained gardens and walkways. A full-size sanded volleyball court sits adjacent to the guest house and provides hours of family fun.
THE 3 STORY MAIN RESIDENCE is approx. 2,000 sq.ft with kitchen and dining room, 3 bedrooms and 2 living areas. The beach level living room offers unobstructed views of the beach and opens to an outdoor deck overlooking the clear blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The beach level master suite includes a dedicated a/c unit, full interior bathroom plus an outdoor, enclosed heated shower on the private master deck. The deck off the kitchen is complete with grill and outdoor dining with seating for 12. The lower level includes a living space with TV, 2 bedrooms including a king room and bunk room that sleeps 6, 2 full bathrooms and laundry room.
THE GUEST HOUSE is connected to the main house by a beautifully louvered portico. It features 2 bedrooms, a queen and king, each with a private entrance/exit and a shared bathroom in between.
The only means of transportation once on the island is by foot, bicycle or golf cart. We recommend renting a golf cart so you can explore the island and transport easily from the boat dock and the marina to the house.The boat dock (on the property) is a 4-5 minute walk / 2 minute cart ride. The Man-O-War harbor and settlement is just a 7 minute walk / 3-4 minute cart ride away... complete with shops (including world renowned Albury Sail Shop) restaurants, grocery store and a full scale marina.

It was a very good week. A group of 9, age range 8 to 74, grandparents, parents, and grandchildren celebrated Christmas week 2016. The caretakers, Char and Glen, were near by, helpful and friendly. They answered questions, fixed a meal and solved minor problems. Sunsplash is a multilevel 3 bedroom 3 bathroom house and a separate 2 bedroom 1 bathroom guest house. Perfect for our active group. We enjoyed Man-O-War Cay in our rented golf carts and 9 passenger boat. The near by grocery store was well stocked and we ordered fresh baked bread and rolls. We found the kitchen well stocked with everything we needed to cook. We stopped in Marsh Harbor on our way from the airport to stock up on beer,wine, and liquor as MOW is dry. We also had Char do some pre shopping. The banks are only open a few hours a week and there are no ATMs on the Cay. We had some USA $ which is used on MOW. The 2 younger grandchildren played on the beach. The young teen was very active with the adults and his I Pad and loved having his own room as the 8 and 9 year olds had the bunk room. Everyone boated, snorkled at "The Low Place" and the beach fronting the house, played volleyball, read, walked, ran and relaxed as we caught up with each other. We enjoyed the multiple large decks and star gazing on clear moonless nights. The only problem was the slow WiFi when we were all on it.TV only worked by streaming and was not very effective.. Char and Glen came to the rescue for the Packer/Lions game. We think the TV and WiFi issues will soon be solved. We had a really good week at Sunsplash and strongly recommend it for families and large groups wanting exposure to ocean life in the Abacos.
We loved our week at Sunsplash this June. It was even better than we expected. Everything was clean, attractive, comfortable and welcoming. The beach view and access was broad and gorgeous. The walk across the island to the private dock takes about seven minutes through a wooded path. You can drive a golf cart around through the settlement to get close to the dock. The Volley Ball court is excellent and was used by our family every day. The AC is cool and comfortable. It was like paradise for us. Thanks!
We came here as a group of four families to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We had age ranges from 10 to mid 70s. Both the kids and the adults had a wonderful time. We rented a boat and docked it at the dock the house provided. There was plenty of time for snorkeling in playing on the boat and also plenty of time for simply reading a book on the beautiful deck. Glen and Charmaine are wonderful caretakers and helped us with everything from getting our luggage from the dock to the house to telling us how to clean conch. We are already dreaming of our next trip back!
Just as it is looks! Man O Way Cay is a beautiful, quiet, place to explore and enjoy. Sunsplash is a perfect beach house equipped with everything you need to have a great time. We had 3 three families, 7 teenagers, and there was plenty of room for all. Rented Golf carts to get around the Cay and a boat for excursions to other Cays. We also chartered a boat for snorkeling on the reef, a National Park. Thanks to the property manager who was wonderful, and available 24/7 with any questions. The natural beauty of this place is not to be believed!
We just celebrated our 50th anniversary at Sunsplash with our children, their spouses, and our grandkids - a total of 14! It was a perfect vacation! The house accommodated us all, the bunk room was great for the kids, and we especially enjoyed the deck with the magnificent beach and ocean views. Exploring the island by foot and golf cart, and finding the fabulous snorkeling and swimming spots by boat, really added to our enjoyment of clean and friendly Man O War Cay. Char and Glenn do a super job of managing and maintaining this wonderful property. We loved our stay in paradise and can't wait to visit Sunsplash again!
