This house has everything you need, bikes, grill, coolers, beach chairs- everything!! There is lots of shopping in the area Publix, Sweetbay, Winn Dixie, Bealls, and Walmart, within a short drive. Englewood Beach: Boardwalk, Rest Rooms, Showers, Picnic Tables, BBQs, Kids Playground, Volleyball, Horse Shoe Toss, Excellent Beach for Swimming, Walking and Shell Collecting, Restaurants 50 yards from Beach. Flounders is a great restaurant across from the beach with live music. Englewood Middle Beach, (Blind Pass): Beautiful scenic coastline ideal for swimming, fishing and shell collecting. Rest rooms and showers. Free parking. Flounders is a great place to eat and live music every day. Venice Beach: nice beach for looking for shark teeth. Sharky's on the Pier is a great place to eat. A MUST SEE!! Manasota Beach: This 14 acre stretch of beach and sand dunes has BBQs, picnic tables (sheltered), Rest rooms and showers, board walk. The beach is approx 3 miles north of Middle beach in Englewood. Boca Grande & Gasparillo Island: A scenic drive to three beautiful beaches in a gorgeous location. BBQs, picnic tables, rest rooms and showers. $6.00 to go over to the island, but worth every penny!otonda west is southwest florida's best kept secret offering top quality country club golf courses. Rotonda west and surrounding in southwest florida's luxurious gulf coast offers miles of not so crowded beaches. The area offers exciting deep sea fishing and boating, exotic wildlife and numerous attractions. Many exotic and beautiful birds call rotonda west home, as it is a designated bird sanctuary. You can check out the warm mineral springs in north port, fl, it is only about 30 minutes away. Warm mineral springs has easy access to swimmers and is surrounded by green law suitable for sunning, lounging and visiting. The spring water has the highest mineral content of any spring in the united states.

We did last minute reservation with Judy just two days before departure to Florida. Everything worked exactly like we were hoping. Judy was very helpful and after 15 minutes phone conversation with her, it started to feel that there is nothing to worry about. Villa Frankonia was beautiful and located in peaceful area far away from crowded tourist areas. There is lot of breathtaking nature and beaches just 30 min drive from Rotonda West. Our favorite spots were Stump Pass Beach State Park and Boca Grande. Manasota Key beaches are also awesome for shark tooth digging :) Villa itself was more than we expected. Everything was so clean and in so good shape that it felt more like real home. Every bed room and lanai has TV and there is adjustable bed in master bed room. Our children enjoyed a lot nice pool in the lanai. Actually it was the first thing that came in our children's mind when we asked what was the best thing to do in Florida. Neighborhood was very quiet when we were spending our Thanksgiving vacation 2017. My whole family enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere at villa after beach days. I think that Villa Frankonia might offer one of the best price/quality relationship in south west Florida for the people who wants to enjoy the exotic nature and non-crowded, but beautiful beaches. I can sincerely recommend this vacation rental.
My husband and I just returned from a fabulous vacation, staying at this lovely home! We have rented properties for many years and we have never stayed in a place as well equipped and as comfortable as this home. The enitire experience was terrific. From the time we initiated the request to rent, until the time we left the property, the owner Judy could not have been more accommodating. She really made everything effortless for us, answering questions in a quick and friendly manner. The house is appointed so nicely, you truly feel like you are home. We loved the open floor plan, decorations, the furniture and all the extras like the big screen TV, the lovely pool, tv in the lanai, bikes etc., were just ideal! Having had bad expereinces in the past, my husband and I jokingly said at the beginning of our visit, "lets make a list of what's wrong with the place"; like what's missing, is the place clean, is the place what it was advertised to be............WELL needless to say we don't have a defiency list for this property! It was just PERFECT!!! Highly recommend for a couple or family! Thanks Judy!
Left the Midwest to get a taste of paradise and could not have been happier with our stay at this beautiful home, Villa Frankonia. The plan was to rest our heads at night and check out the surrounding area during the day, but upon entering the home, the plans changed and most of the time was spent on the property and here's why: This home is very open, spacious and inviting. The home was super clean and decorated with warm, soothing colors accented with furniture that is comfortable and inviting. Everything we needed was available from kitchen accessories & spices to games, movies, coolers, beach chairs and bikes. The lanai & pool was our location of choice! Crystal clear, warm water and a surrounding deck that was spotless. There's a great combination of sun and shade to accommodate the most avid sun lover or protect those who prefer to stay covered. The added bonuses of a ceiling fan, light AND TV under the covered area of the lanai provided all day & night entertainment and comfort. We loved the super private back yard with lots of birds! The neighborhood was very nice and quiet, great for walking and biking. Beautiful homes. Hardly any traffic. We felt super safe. If we had any questions the property manager Mary was super helpful and so were the owners. We have stayed at many homes over the years, this one rates one of the best. Thanks for a great relaxing vacation, can't wait to come back!!

Villa Frankonia is the perfect getaway for a memorable Florida vacation! The home is very modern, spacious, and nicely appointed; it has everything you will need, from beach gear (including chairs, umbrellas, and coolers) to a large gas grill in the screened in pool patio! Although too numerous to list, some other key features include three very comfortable bedrooms with baths, a fully equipped kitchen, and a great living room with super-nice leather sofas for lounging! Siesta Keys in Sarasota, the #1 US beach in 2017, is 1 hour away, although we preferred local beaches in Engelwood Beach a few minutes from the home. You are minutes from grocery stores, simple grab and go food as well as restaurants. These close comparatively early we learned, so plan ahead! Last but not least, the pool simply awesome, perfect size for any age,along with comfi lounging furniture, wet swimsuit "tree" drying, and a TV if you need additional entertainment. The house is unique as it borders on nature in the back, where you can at the very least hear all the wildlife in the area. FInally, the home is about 35 minutes from the Punta Gorda airport, where we flew in, which makes this escape more perfect yet!
We loved staying here. House was very clean and impeccably decorated. We immediately felt relaxed and right at home. Very nice neighborhood. Friendly community. Judy texted us to make sure everything was good, and Mary checked with us the second day to see if we needed anything. The open concept kept us together as a family but the bedroom set up gave us privacy. We would highly recommend staying here.
This house was wonderful. Clean, spacious, well equipped, great location. The pictures really don't do it justice. Its far more beautiful and clean in person. My family had a fantastic week long vacation. we enjoyed mornings at the beach and afternoons by the pool. visited local restaurants on the water and the nearby island. The house had everything we needed for our little ones and everything for the beach. Judy and Mary were both great to work with. Quick to respond, super friendly and so helpful. I highly recommend this vacation home. Would love to return next year!
Villa Frankonia is an outstanding choice for your Florida Winter vacation.This home is very nicely decorated throughout, and very comfortable and functional with three roomy bedrooms and three bathrooms. The home is well furnished and should have anything you need to make your stay very comfortable and the beautiful pool more enjoyable. The onsite manager, Mary, is very responsive and helpful for any questions or needs. The owners, Steve and Judy, are also very easy to reach if necessary and very concerned that your vacation stay in their home is very memorable. We have been visiting this area for the last four years and it offers great amenities (great golf, fishing and beaches) and many excellent restaurants (Farlow's on Hwy 776, The Pink Elephant in Boca Grande, and the South Beach Restaurant on the southside of Big Gasparilla Island are all very good). If you are looking for a great Florida vacation home, you will love Villa Frankonia. It is a very comfortable and well maintained home.
