Home located East of Route 12, close to tennis and beach (walking distance 0.2 miles 1056 ft/350 yds) this house is not on Route 12 and there is no walk thru access to route 12 from the house. Like jogging, running, walking or cycling we have a newly constructed walkway on route 12 4 miles long. Our party of five had a great stay at Pelican Rest. We initially planned to come with more people so we had plenty of room. The house was very clean and the kitchen well equipped - better than we expected. Especially as we came from abroad and could not bring too many things with us, we were delighted to fined the house so well equipped. Eileen was very helpful when we had questions and responded very fast. The beach was a short walk away and we also enjoyed the pool that has a nice size. The location is very nice as also grocery shopping and restaurants are very close by. We could not have asked for more. We would definitely recommend Pelican Rest to other vacationers.
This home was perfect for our extended family vacation and our first OBX trip! Eileen was very helpful and this property was super clean! We loved the salt water pool and proximity to the beach. The half bath cabana was a super convenient feature for the kids! Our only complaint was the size of the kitchen for our party of 13, but we made it work with the open counters. We would definitely stay here again!
The property was wonderful, everything you would want in a vacation rental: clean, well appointed furnishings, all appliances in perfect working order, some actually new! The house was big and roomy enough for everyone to enjoy their own 'space'. Eileen was fantastic with every question or concern!

We had a family reunion/vacation and pelican rest was the perfect location for us. The house was clean and had everything we needed, including stuff to accommodate a one year old. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen had everything and anything we would possibly need, and the gas grill was a huge plus. It is a short walk to the beach and the beach was super clean. Would definitely rent this property again.
