The house had everything. Tons of space, amenities, powerful central a/c, everything you need and an awesome location. Very easy to communicate with owners to answer any questions.
Excellent house in a great location.
This was a really great place for our family reunion and easily accommodated all of our children and grandchildren. With 10 SARC passes people could go swimming anytime they wanted and the garage was full of bikes which made for great family bike outings. The kitchen was the best stocked that we'd ever seen and one of the best features of the house was that it had air conditioning!!

The house was situated in a very ideal location for my group as it was within walking distance (less than 5 min) of the Village. It also had a large driveway to accommodate our multiple vehicles. Overall the house was clean and well stocked with the household supplies we expected.
The house was perfect. Great set-up with plenty of room for everyone in our family. Definitely plan to stay here again.
We have been going to SunRiver for many years and this is by far our favorite place to stay. It has a great location (walking distance to the mall and close to the lodge and South pool). The house itself is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The video library and game room makes it heaven for kids (and adults)! With the living room at one end of the house and the game room at the other, it has nice separation for kids and adults. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook for a large group. We loved the hot tub. There are bikes for every size person. If you want to spend a wonderful vacation, this is the house for you. I highly recommend it. You'll love it!
We spent Thanksgiving at this house and had 3 families (7 kids) and two single adults, and this house fit us all comfortably! It was within walking distance to the mall and lodge. Very comfortable and quiet since it is mainly a one story home. There is one bedroom upstairs but it is way in the back so very quiet as well. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and spices as well. We hope to stay there again next year as well. Thanks Craig!
We have just returned from a perfect week in Sunriver - this location is great for walking to the mall with all the activities available there. The area in back is perfect for small children; it is an easy bike ride to the pool. The arcade games were a hit with big and little kids; we ate on the picnic tables each evening and celebrated a birthday one afternoon with 25 guests - plenty of room for everyone. We will be returning next July - the first time we will have stayed in the same home more than once since we began coming to Sunriver in 1982 as a family of four - we are now up to 10.
We couldn't have asked for anything more beautiful, accommodating,comfortable,equipped, or roomy for the gathering of our clan to celebrate our anniversary. There was something for everyone to have fun with and we were sooo lucky to have just the perfect temps for our Alaska crew. The game room was a huge success as well as having all the bikes to ride (one of our grandkids even learned to ride!).And, oh my goodness,the SHARC center was AMAZING.Thanks so much for the all the kitchen supplies. We were amazed at how everything we needed was there. We could tell from all you had available everywhere that you really care about your renters having the best experience possible. I hope someday that we can use your hospitality again. Thank you.
Excellent for 5 couples with individual bedrooms and private baths. Sixth bed in game room with unique (for house) arcade games which kids and young adults loved. Kitchen well stocked. Owner has stocked many accessories, paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, disposable razors, shaving cream, soaps. Very close to village mall with store and restaurants, Jukebox in living room. Very large collection of VHS movies. New SHARC, indoor/outdoor swimming complex with all season slide hill, passes included.
We have stayed at Backwoods 11 many times since the 1990s. It is by far our favorite place to stay in Sunriver. The location of this home is RIGHT by the mall, so you can literally walk over in about 3 minutes (280 steps!) yet it has always been very quiet and restful there. The home is exceptionally clean and there is room for everyone to spread out. There are six bedrooms (one is the game room) so everyone can have their own space and privacy. Each bed was comfortable too...everyone in our party slept great! Also, this home has SEVEN bathrooms (five of the bedrooms have their own private bath!) so you will never have to wait! I have never seen a home so well-stocked as Backwoods 11. The kitchen has every spice you need, sugar, flour, olive oil, and cooking spray. There are tons of baking dishes, trays, and cooking utensils. You can cook a gourmet meal here and have EVERYTHING you need! The owner has always gone the extra mile and made sure you are set to go with extra paper towels, toilet tissue, dishwashing and laundry supplies, barbecue supplies, the list goes on and on. They have thought of everything! There are tons of bikes for kids and adults too. We had so much fun exploring Sunriver and riding the miles and miles of bike paths. There are 8 SHARC passes. We went tubing during our stay....we highly recommend it! The lazy river swim area was open when we stayed but we didn't go during our week there but it looked fun though! The internet worked great too and we were able to stream movies from Netflix through our own account. We watched the NCAA tournament on the huge flat screen TV in the living room (there are several other TVs in the home so everyone can watch what they want) and there is large collection of DVDs there for you to choose from. I almost forgot to mention the game room. Your kids will LOVE it! There is a pinball machine and several other arcade machines. One of them has all those classic arcade games from the 80s and 90s--we had a blast playing them. There is also a jukebox in the living room for your listening pleasure! I just cannot recommend this home highly enough. You will LOVE staying here and will come back year after year like we have. PS....you will love their other rental, Backwoods 4. It is amazing too!! We have stayed there numerous times and it is every bit as good as Backwoods 11. You will love either home!
Our family of 7 adults and 5 children had the best week in sunriver since renting homes back on the 80's. Our adult children all agreed that this home had everything we needed plus an amazing location! We felt secluded but were only a 5 minute walk to the village. We took advantage of the SHARC everyday, went rafting down the deschutes from the marina, visited the observatory one night and the kids went horseback riding. Biking on the cul de sac was a favorite of the kids.they even made friends with other kids. No one wanted the week to end. Thanks Craig for having the best supplied home of our vrbo rentals and especially the bikes for everyone,
Our large group found this house to be a perfect fit, we had 4 Couples in our group - Some with children and some without. There was plenty room for everyone and Each bedroom having it's own full bathroom was a huge plus. The place was very clean, fully equipped with Towel/Linens and Cooking for our large group meals was easily done because they had so much cookware,utensils,etc readily available for us to do so. The Living Room was spacious enough for everyone to be comfortable and we thought the Rec Room with all the Video Games and Pinball was awesome. I cant see myself staying anywhere else from now on when visiting Sunriver, thanks!!
Our family had the pleasure of enjoying Backwoods 11 over spring break and we all had an AMAZING time! Guests in attendance ranged from 9 months - 70 years old!!!! The kids loved the game room and it was such a treat to have arcade games and pinball to play. It would take me for ever to list everything that was wonderful about this house, but I'll name a few: I like certain types of pans when I cook and the kitchen was so well stocked that I ended up leaving a box of things from my own personal kitchen in the car. The jukebox was so fun, I never anticipated the fun and dancing it would bring. All of the beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of linens and towels for everyone! The best part was the selection of bikes, all in great shape, comfortable and ready to ride. They were perfect to hop on and head over to the SHARC with the passes provided. We have been to Sunriver several times and this was by far the best house we've stayed in with the best location! I highly recommend this rental to everyone! Lastly the owners were fantastic, quick to respond to questions and a joy to work with. Thank you Backwoods 11, we hope to be back soon!
Our Family of 14 stayed at #11 Backwoods, Sunriver from July 2 - 9, 2016. What a great home and very comfortable for a large family. I was concerned that we might not fit in the house, but not the case at all. The location close to the Sunriver Market Place was exceptional. A quick walk and you are there. The Deck and Patio are huge and we had all of our dinners on the Deck. Fantastic! The Owners are very accommodating. Thank you. I think there were 23 bikes. This home is very well stocked and ready for your vacation. Enjoyed our week. Thank you so much. We will be back.

We had a wonderful time with our family. We rode the bikes and enjoyed the pool passes. It was great to be close enough to walk to the store for a last minute dinner ingredient. Beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of dishes. We had a refrigerator issue and Craig ordered a new one delivered. But until then there was a spare in the garage, and a freezer too. We could have brought a month's worth of food! Thanks!
This home was more than we expected! Overly equipped with everything we needed. The game room was a hit from the youngest to the oldest. Location was amazing! We will return. Thank you Craig and Becky
We stayed at Backwoods 11 over the first weekend in March 2019. We could not be happier. The home is ideal for big families, mixed families with kids, and couples, especially where having some privacy at night is ideal. Each of the 5 bedrooms has a en suite, private bathroom. Two bedrooms have extra bed for couples with small kids. All rooms are large. The 6th bedroom (we did not use) doubles as a second family room. It's bath is not en suite, but there is a 6th bathroom. If needed, there is a 1/2 bath off the laundry room. Rooms are clean, lite and open, beds seem new and just right (not too hard, too soft). Kitchen is perfect for those wanting to cook for large groups. Many pots, bowls, utensils, all great quality. Lots of counter space for making the dinner a group effort. Great dinning table, plus another small (for 6) table in the family room make for plenty of room for a sit down dinner. Family room is furnished in a comfortable way with a great layout. TV is there, but we barely turned it on. Jukebox for music was a lot of fun. Owner's instructions were clear and easy. Would rent here again in a heartbeat.
This was a great home for the 6 adult couples in our group. There was plenty of seating for meals and socializing, the jukebox was fun addition and the game room was a complete hit for us "older kids". It was also close to the bike paths for walking and quick runs to the store or village for shopping. We will definitely look at booking here again!
