You will find wonderful beautiful walks on very country roads around Glin as well as a refreshing stroll along the N69 on the banks of the water shannon. Kilteery Pier and Glin Pier are quite popular for bull huss, hornback ray, dogfish and conger angling. Foynes Yacht Club, created in 1962, is just a ten-minute drive across the N69 from Barker Home. Superb golf courses could really be appreciated inside a 30-minute push at both Newcastle West Golf course or Ballybunion Golf course.
