This spacious home filled with charm is rooted in one the best mountain locations to yield a wonderous view. The size of the estate begs you to bring a few friends along and share some good times and adventures. The surrounding area is filled with outing opportunities to get some excersize or spend some money on local foods and memorabilia. If your a motorcycle rider and you don\'t bring your ride here, you will experience some slight pains every time you see someone else gliding along the mountain roads.
We enjoyed this beautiful home with two other couples for a week of exploring, hiking, shopping and eating. We had a wonderful, relaxing time. The home was fully equipped and the spacious layout was very conducive for large gatherings around the open concept kitchen, dining and living room. Each couple had their our own over-sized bedroom and private bathroom affording privacy and comfort. The real bonus though was the enormous multi-leveled back deck with its breathtaking views--perfect for wine sipping and visiting. Plenty of site seeing around Meadows of Dan and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Floyd is also a must on a Friday night for music lovers. We are looking forward to our next visit.
We loved our stay here. The house is beautiful, the view is amazing... the picture of it does not do it justice. The house was fully supplied, from paper towels to Netflix. The owner is very accommodating, nice and helpful.
This is an amazing home with the most spectacular mountain views. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the view and the perfect Spring weather in Meadows of Dan, VA. The newly renovated kitchen is beautiful! The owners are extremely accommodating and thoughtful. This place has all of the amenities that you can imagine, they really have thought of everything. The owners, Bill and Mary, were very helpful in supplying us with information about the area prior to our visit so that we could map a daily itinerary. We have three girls ages 9, 13 and 15 and we had the right balance of relaxation time and outdoor activities in the surrounding area. We have been using VRBO for several years now and this is one of the best experiences we have had, mainly due to the owners being so accommodating. We will definitely go back. Also, I highly recommend waking early to watch the sun rise over the mountains - truly amazing.
