Hello my name is Margaret Francine Najera. Everyone calls me Francine. I own a 1 bedroom condo in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. I am retired social worker that enjoys traveling throughout Mexico. Hope you will rent my condo.
My wife and I stayed here 2 nights during the last week of December 2016. The unit and the condo complex were excellent. The views from the balcony can\'t be beat. The staff at La Jolla de Mismaloya were very responsive and helpful. That said, anyone planning to stay here needs to be aware of the limits of services in Mismaloya. 1. A credit card is virtually useless at the condo or in the village. Plan to have plenty of pesos for all of your purchases here. Everyone accepts US dollars but the exchange rate is not great. 2. Dining is very limited. There is a small cafe in the resort but the hours of operation are limited (lunch and dinner). There is one place in the village that serves breakfast, not great. 3. If you want to have some food in your room (even wine, beer and snacks), definitely do your shopping in Puerto Vallarta before you go to Mismaloya. The very small store in the village has very very limited selection. 4. Getting to and from Puerto Vallarta from Mismaloya is easy and cheap, only about 150 pesos ($7+). It can be time consuming as the traffic and the numerous speed bumps slow things down. By the way that is not necessarily a bad thing, the scenery is great. A lot of this sounds negative, but if you know the limitations in advance and are prepared, it is a beautiful place with lots of things to see and do near by (zoo, botanical garden, all kinds of water activities).
This condo has all we asked for: ocean view, close to beach, friendly staff, full kitchen, and bus stop to PV or Boca. There are lots more to it than just a room where we spent 8 nights. The grounds have nice pool, 2 Jacuzzi, gym, tennis court etc. We did not use all amenities while being busy exploring other places around. I would like to point out that bedroom was kind of dark(no view) facing the busy road. Trucks engine brakes woke us up sometimes, also the sleeper sofa was barely comfortable for our two boys. Overall highly recommend this property.
Such a wonderful time at La Jolla De Mismaloya condo- quiet, beautiful view, nice condo with everything we needed. We'll be back!
This was our first trip to Mismaloya. Francine was responsive and easy to communicate with. Her condo is in a perfect location - just up the hill from the entrance to the small town and overlooking the gorgeous Bay of Banderas. The condominium complex is really well designed and is built into the steep hillside between the main road and the coast. The unit is spacious for two with all of the amenities that you would need including a well-furnished kitchen. The bedroom was separate from the other living space which is nice if people want to retire at different times. The bed was comfortable but the room lacked a ceiling fan. The bedroom is also on the road side of the unit and can get a little noisy from the truck traffic during the night even with the windows closed. The air-conditioner worked fine after the first day. The feature we really enjoyed was the large deck with the glass railing that allowed you to get a great view of the bay and the beach off to the side. Taking the elevator down to the lowest floor we entered a large concrete patio surrounding the glistening waters of the pool. There were plenty of chaise loungers and umbrellas from which to choose. The spa was adjacent the pool. A set of steps and sidewalks led up right down to the beach which was convenient. There is also a small gym area which is free to use. There was also a wonderful restaurant and cabana right at the far end of the pool deck for drinks, tacos and snacks or even a nice dinner overlooking the bay. The prices are fairly reasonable. The condo is just a short walk down the hill to reach the entrance to the quaint little village of Mismaloya. Up stroll up the main street will eventually land you at the Vallarta Zoological Garden (not the nicest facility for the animals). In the little town there are some very cute restaurants. We would highly recommend Restaurant Iguana. The city bus stops right in front of the Condos and will take you West to a sweet little fishing village, Boca De Tomatlan (we spent a day there). Take the bus the other direction and you will end up in downtown Puerto Vallarta amongst the active restaurant/bar district. It cost about 10 pesos (or 65 cents) each way. We really liked the condo and hope to return.
