WELCOME TO CHATEAU DE SURY
The Château de Sury was built in Saint-Jean-aux-Amognes in the first half of the 17th century, and it became the property of the Faverges family at the end of the 18th century. It has been passed down from generation to generation, serving as a vast agricultural estate. Geneviève and Hubert de Faverges have now refurbished it into a beautiful Château d'Hôtes, with three beautiful bedrooms, gîtes, a swimming pool and a hammam. A table d'hôtes is also available, with personalized cuisine on request.

THE FRAMEWORK, HAMMAM, SWIMMING POOL
The Château de Sury asserts itself first of all as an authentic place, with old cut stones, a beautiful Virginia creeper that runs along the walls, and all the spirit of a place full of history. And then, flourishing in the middle of a large wooded park, with a view of a superb forest, the Château is a place with magical accents, in communion with Nature. Added to this elegance and charm are modern facilities such as a swimming pool and a hammam. The swimming pool, surrounded by a beautiful wooden floor, is freely accessible all summer. The hammam is available all year round for €20.00/pers.
Around the Castle, there are many excursions and hiking trails, but you can just as well enjoy a walk in the Park.

THE HISTORY OF THE CASTLE
The Milliet Faverges family has a long history, which goes back at least to the 13th century, when it was established in Savoie. The Family acquired the Château de Sury in 1784, through its ancestor Jean-Claude Flamen d'Assigny.
The Château then began to exploit its vast agricultural estate of 100 hectares, notably with innovative agricultural experiments for the time. The Domaine is passed on to successive generations, and the Château has continued to live a great adventure ever since.
