We had a wonderful time at Casa Raab, both relaxing and having adventures. We went hiking every morning in the beautiful hills, ate the delicious meals provided, relaxed by the refreshing pool when it was hot, and appreciated all the caring details in the spacious rooms, filled with traditional arts and crafts. After the intensity of the city of Oaxaca, it's great to retreat to this quiet country setting. Tony and Rebecca are gracious, knowledgable, and helpful hosts.
Casa Raab lives up to expectations and its description. I had the happy experience of staying in La Casita for 2 months and loved the country setting, the friendly and helpful owners, Tony and Rebecca, and, the friendly neighbourhood. Oaxaca city lives up to its promise in all respects and I look forward to returning. Although taxi transportation is available, a car for longer stays would be an asset.
My family and I had an awesome stay. The house was great and the grounds were beautiful. We will come back again. Can hardly wait for our trip next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We had an eclectic group of 8 descend upon Casa Raab for Oaxaca's fabulous week - Dia del los Muertos and were welcomed with open arms by Rebecca and her team. Everyone in our group is grateful for the Casa Raab comfy accommodations and fabuloso support in getting to know more about the region. Every word of the description and photos provided are accurate and understated for the experience we enjoyed - read it and believe it! Every morning we awoke to a bountiful breakfast and we made arrangements for dinners that reflected the local cuisine and were delicious. Every bedroom was an inspiration of art, textile and comfort, everyone enjoyed the privacy of their rooms. We were a busy group, traveling the region everyday, so we didn't spend as much time as we would have liked enjoying Casa Raab and San Pablo . . . but we will return and plan to enjoy more "down time" on this lovely property and community. Owner Rebecca is an exceptional, knowledgable local who gently guided our experience and managed our energetic group. This home and setting is for the casual traveler, which is a good thing! If there are any ratings below excellent for Casa Raab, these folks didn't read the accurate listing. Fresh towels, refreshing pool, plenty of space, abundant food and beverage, expert info on local artists & history, friendly animals and lots of love punctuated our week at Casa Raab. Rebecca's mission for animal care is legendary, appreciated and everyone in our group was moved by her commitment to caring for animals and the environment.
