    Description

    Casa Raab is a rustic (second generation) country estate. It is located 20 minutes (by car) north of the center of the city of Oaxaca. A 40 acre Eco-preserve surrounds all of the houses. Lots of pet dogs and puppies (animal rescue program), burros and horses, parrots, cats and turtles. Long daily walks in the hills, country tranquility, home cooked meals, swimming pool, housekeeping and laundry services, tourism assistance and transportation solutions...frequent acoustic music venues with local musicians, our own agave farm and distillery for great mezcal.....basically we have it all....if you like the country and animals and rural beauty. Casa Raab has 3 different houses for rent. *The Casa Grande is huge, with soaring timber framing and bamboo ceilings, 4 big bedrooms with private baths. It has a semi-commercial kitchen, large dining and living rooms, full internet, fireplace, ceiling fans, etc. The Casa Grande also can operate as a B&B, with great, full breakfasts every morning. Dinners can be arranged. *La Casita is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, little house. Completely self contained with 3 beds. It is located 150 feet from the Casa Grande, and can be added to a group reservation for the Casa Grande. *Casa Chica is the newest little house. It is a one bedroom house with an open floor plan. Designed for the handicapped with proper doorways and bathroom fixtures. It is about 500 sq feet in size and located about 75 feet from the Casa Grande. It can also be added to a larger group reservation. Our surrounding countryside allows a chance for you to experience the magic of the subtropical highlands without a tour guide or schedule. Birders will find 250 species throughout the year. Hikers will appreciate the diverse landscape challenges. Artists and writers find rich subject. More relaxed folks may find themselves at the pool or settling down with a good book on one of the patios.. We can arrange any sort of tour that you like, and we have excellent English speaking drivers with nice vehicles that can handle any size group.

    How to reach :Both United and American airlines now fly direct from Texaxs to Oaxaca. Take one of these flights to avoid Mexico CIty. This will clear customs in Oaxaca....piece of cake!
    Best time to visit :The climate here is nearly perfect year round. The various festivals and holidays are pretty special and are worth seeing. Nothing like The Day of the Dead in Oaxaca.
    Transport system :Lots of public transport. Take buses, or taxis, or hire a driver and vehicle.
    Languages spoken :Mostly Spanish spoken in Oaxaca, however our drivers speak English.
