Gunka John's River Cabin is located on the banks of the Famous Kenai River.Private bank fishing for salmon as well as rainbow and dolly varden. This all takes place away from the crowds and COMBAT fishing. For your convenience, we provide a fish cleaning table and a freezer space to store your catch until time to leave. For the 'non-fisherman' or women, the Kenai Peninsula offers hiking, white water rafting, float trips, flight-seeing trips, halibut boat trips, clam digging. Only a short drive to the local visitor center, souvenir shopping and restaurants. Soldotna is 145 mile drive from Anchorage or a 30 minute commuter flight into Kenai, Alaska. CABIN ON THE KENAI RIVER is only a short ride from Soldotna.. So bring your rod and reel for an adventure of a life time.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here with John and Nancy. The guest cabin sits back on their wonderful Kenai River frontage cabin. My teen son mastered catching the Sockeye Salmon with John\'s help and he taught us both the art of filleting. The cabin is in great shape and slept all four of us with ease. We loved the freezer on the deck, for all of our catches. The cabin has unlimited hot water and this is great for some real nice baths and showers. The kitchen was well appointed and the gas stove and oven worked great. The property is neat and clean, and the owners made us feel at home and had great suggestions for dinners. I think we made friends, while renting this property. I recommend this property to anyone seeking an opportunity to relax and enjoy the Kenai Peninsula.
