Comfy, Cozy Cabin

Our family of 6 adults spent 4 nights at the Fish On Cabin. We had a great time. It was perfectly located for the activities we had planned (Fjords National Park cruise, Homer, Kenai, etc...). Curtis was so responsive to questions and gave us lots of great suggestions. The Moose is Loose Bakery was visited more than once during our stay (the apple fritters were fabulous)! Sarah (local property manager) was also a great help. It was really nice to have a washer/dryer on-site. Only one suggestion, with 5 women and 1 man (my Dad), we could have used another mirror or two. Thanks Curtis for a great stay. Can\'t wait to come back.

Awesome cabin in Sterling, AK

Mr. Camps cabin in Sterling was over and above our expectations! The four of us, (hard core fishermen) had all the amenities we needed. The 2 freezers were perfect for rotating the fish as we brought them in, and the fish preparing tables, towels, vacuum packer etc. were great. The cabin was near the main highway, which was very nice, and very private. Mady the golden lab came to visit us daily, made it feel like home! We will definitely book this again for next year! Thanks again Curtis and Sarah! Chris Iles

Our stay in Sterling

We chose this location as it seemed like a good halfway point for everything we wanted to do in the Kenai Peninsula, and it is! The cabin was easy to find with the directions provided by Sarah. Sarah was so quick with a return call that her call came in while I was leaving her a message! The owners are easy to work with. The cabin itself is fully equipped for fisherman, however; we did not come to fish - maybe next time? The decor does give you the fishing fever! The home is very neat and clean and has all of the basics - we ran out for paper products and dishwashing soap, but nothing major. The only complaint I have is the bunk room bed (bottom) and futon/sofa are killers on the back (my parents got the good bed ;) ). Definitely 5 stars if the bed were more comfy. Note that there is no internet connection, but excellent 4G, so I used my phone as a wireless hotspot to upload some amazing photos. The cabin is within ten miles (I think) of Soldotna, and within 20 miles or so of Kenai - everything you need can be found in those towns. We spent a full day traveling to Homer, another to Seward, and a third visiting the wildlife refuge areas between the coast at Kenai and into Sterling. Amazing scenery and wildlife - more than one moose with babes near the cabin. All I can say is ... this visit was far too short. The Peninsula is an amazing area for those who love peace, quiet and the out-of-doors. The rivers and lakes are amazing - breathtaking glacier rivers, streams, ponds, lakes ... EVERYWHERE! Fishing and wildlife viewing opportunities abound. The locals who run roadside shops (Tom at the Rock Place, for example) are friendly and tell wonderful stories. Homer and Seward are not overly kitschy-touristy, and offer plenty of recreational opportunities as well as seafood to die for. Cooper Landing is the home of all things \"river\" - you can raft, fish, boat, gawk ... Just get out there! Thank you for the stay!

18-pounder silver catch!!!

My wife and I stayed at FISH-ON cabin for two weeks and had a wonderful time. I landed my biggest catch ever - 18 pounder silver (down in Centennial Park in Soldotna). The cabin is maintained with love and care. It felt homey , typically I don\'t sleep well in new places, but this time I slept very well. It is all set up for fishing including vacuum processors, freezers, etc. I found very helpful Curtis\'s collection of brochures on fishing tips/trips in the area. I plan on going there again next year.

Nice cabin well equipped for fishermen

The property includes a tastefully decorated Alaskan themed cabin with washer, dryer, dishwasher, and all of the necessities for serious fish processing and storage. While outside, there was a bit of road noise from the Sterling Highway, about a half mile away. The productive fishing spots along the lower Kenai River are a short drive from the cabin. Overall, we were impressed and would gladly book this property again.

not long enough

We had a great 2 days...way too short...staying at this cabin. We did some fishing on the Kasilof River, and just spent time taking in the gorgeous scenery around. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We booked very last minute. We wanted to spend time on the Kenai relaxing before we embarked on our cruise and Curtis was great to work around our schedule.
