This villa was built by myself and reflects what I always wanted when I rented. I wanted the natural feel of the island so I used local woods whenever possible, I did not use glass and aluminum windows in the house but instead wood louvere windows with wood frame screens, earthen tile by the pool, natural wood railings and ceilings throughout for that warm feeling. Our stay at FantaSea Villa exceeded all of our hopes and expectations!! There is a stunning view from every room. The design of the house results in lovely cooling breezes every day. The STAFF are welcoming, do a great job, are extremely trustworthy and so hospitable. Some things to keep in mind are: The trip down to the beach is a bit of a trek though we love the pool at the house and, it is simple to get a driver to take you to the beach. Takes about 90 minutes to get from Montego Bay airport to the house but the ride is such a pleasure and gives you a chance to see the country in all its beauty and uniqueness. If you are looking for an all-inclusive stay at a resort filled with other Canadians, Americans, Europeans then this is not the place for you ( we did one day pass at sandals resorts and that was enough for us) but if you are looking for an authentic yet still luxurious Jamaican experience, then this is the perfect place!!!
If you are looking for a stunning view, immaculate property, this is where you should stay! We had eight adults and each of us were very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and was there when we wanted them and gone when we wanted privacy. The location is very good because you can have the fun party life very near or the quiet peaceful life if needed. There is A/C in each room but to be quite honest we left every window and door open each night to enjoy the stunning views from every room and the fresh air we don't enjoy at home due to heat and humidity. To have the best experience you expect, just let the staff know of your needs from the beginning and you will be set. The owner is very responsive and has a very good relationship within the community and with his staff. Leaving was the most difficult part of our trip and I cannot wait to return.

Only the nicest things to say about Fantasea Villa, The home is beautiful, I love the way it is laid out, large rooms big bathrooms, and very very clean. the deck is amazing !!! the view from any spot on the deck, hammock is the best chill spot, the pool is on the small side but still nice enough to cool off and have fun, safe if you have smaller kids with you, STAFF they are awesome, Christina cooked some awesome food for people who really dont like to venture out of their comfort zone, every thing was delish.Christina you need to charge more! Lisa, she is so sweet, always had a smile and kept the place spotless, along with doing my laundry for me, and turned us on to some new music, thank you for that:)) now on to Jermaine, he is the nicest, sweetest, funniest person ever, he had us laughing and giggling the entire time, he went to the store with us and made sure the pool was the rite temp (I like it warmer then most ) this was the joke between us bc the water was very nice I am just a sissy. Rudy the owner is so very nice, he made sure we had every thing we needed and answered every question we asked,, any way if you are thinking of booking with fantasea do it, the place is very very nice, staff awesome and the view is to die for.
My husband and I came to Fantasea Villa for our honeymoon and it was the greatest week of our lives! The moment Elroy picked us up we felt at home. He was the nicest person. He taught us so much about Jamaica and we can honestly say he become a friend at the end of our honeymoon and we miss him dearly. Once we got to the villa, my husband and I were in such awe over the whole house and views. It's open and spacious with a huge balcony with the most gorgeous view I've ever seen. We arrived just as the sun was setting. I've never seen anything like it. It was stunning. There's a beautiful pool that literally sits on the edge of the balcony so it feels like your floating in the air. Next to it is a huge hammock where we spent most nights just watching the sunset. The master bedroom is spacious with a small balcony with huge doors that open up. Most night we would keep the doors open to let the breeze in and most especially to watch the sunrise. Which is the most breathtaking thing to see. Imagine waking up to that every morning?! It was amazing. Our house manager, Jermaine was an absolute doll. He was always there when we needed him. My husband and him would talk everyday and my husband taught him how to play chess. Jermaine even went out to get us fresh fruit, it was delicious. So sweet! Our honeymoon was an adventurous one. We did something different everyday and Elroy was there ready to take us and even had great recommendations! We had a blast! We went to Pelican bar, YS falls and so much more! And then we would come back to the villa take a dip in the pool, get ready for dinner and go to Luna Sea right down the road for dinner (another great spot). The villa we stayed at is off the beaten path and it was perfect. We went to Sandals for one night and can honestly say it was nothing compared to staying at the villa! The villa is private with a beautiful pool, absolutely gorgeous views, the most beautiful beaches close by and we were surrounded by wonderful ppl such as Elroy and Jermaine and the best part was going on all those amazing Jamaican adventures and really seeing the island! Rudy, the owner is one of the nicest people and really makes you feel at home. He knows the best beaches to go, what to eat and what to do for fun! He put together an amazing place! Rudy and the staff, we can't thank you enough for the honeymoon of our dreams. If anyone is thinking of Jamaica for honeymoon or for a fun vacation, fantasea villa is your place!
We were a Missions Team traveling throughout tne area. What a beautiful home to come back to in the evening both inside and out! And the view! The home was immaculately clean upon arrival and everyday during our stay. The kitchen is fully stocked for our everyday cooking needs. We had 25 for dinner one day and did not run out of plates or silverware!!!! Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. And the staff...can't wait to go back next year to spend the week with them again. They have become part of our Jamaican family! You are secluded enough for relaxation but not excluded so far from White House which makes this home perfect! We arrived dec 19 2015 at fantasea villa, I had some reservations about staying in the area thinking it was too far away from everything, turns out there was plenty to do in the area! We were there for six nights and would love to stay longer! there is plenty to do in the area as far as outdoor activties. Not touristy area so you don't get hassled. An older grocery store is close by for basics. The street food was great (jerk chicken) if your comfortable with speaking with locals. They speak heavy accent! (patwah) We came as a family for Christmas and had four couples and had plenty of room for everyone and more ! We had our own cars so getting around was no problem . (We flew into Mobay and rented the car there) We bought our own groceries and cooked our own meals. The housekeeper did a wonderful job and the onsite groundskeeper was so very kind!!! Rudy was great to work with. Not located on the beach but we didn't care with the amazing views!!! We had an adventure every day..... Caves, waterfalls, crocodiles, scenic drive, beach day, to name a few! We stayed in 3 areas for our vacation and really enjoyed the Whitehouse area. The island is so big so we divided our stay into 3 areas. We stayed 3 weeks! Loved jamaica! Our family is not the resort stay type. So we liked the adventure...We even had the grandkids 2, and 1..... The villa is really set up well for privacy for all couples and just beautiful. Thanks Rudy !!!
My girlfriend and I could not describe the absolutely fantastic time we had at FantaSea Villa! The Villa is absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed. The Housekeeper and Groundsman made sure we were comfortable and had answers to all our questions. The Villa is immaculately clean and you want for nothing. The living room and kitchen open up to a spectacular view! The food was delicious and we loved walking up the hill to the restaurant (Elaine's). We went on a few day trips to local attractions and had a wonderful driver and guide. He was very knowledgeable and took care of us. We were a little nervous, but felt comfortable and safe being with someone. The YS Falls was definitely our favorite trip! Rudy, I have to say that your staff was excellent and treated us like extended family. We cannot wait to return and stay at your villa. SO much more to experience there! Chris
Our group included my Mother (83), myself and husband, our three daughters (35, 33, 30) and our two grandchildren (3 & 1). We were so excited when we saw the villa with it's wide open common area, fantastic wrap around terrace with spectacular views both sunny and sunset, the perfect set up so that everyone had their private space and the great little pool. The house had everything we could have wanted and the staff, Sharon, Jermain and Elvis, the chef couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating. Jermain became part of the family, watching cartoons with the kids, learning new games with us or just sharing an early morning coffee. Sharon kept the place spotless and was so sweet with all of us, especially our grandson, Ben. Elvis was a miracle worker. He seemed to be able to use anything he could find in the cupboard or fridge to create delicious and beautifully presented meals. Sharon brought us freshly caught fish and lobster , bought early in the morning from the returning fishermen.
27 family members and me visited Jamaica in January 2015. We rented 3 homes in the same subdivsion but everyone, from sun up to sun down, gravitated to Fanatasea. That is because the amenities at Fantasea are incredible. Add to that the sea views from the open-air living quarters, from the balcony and from every room in the house. The property manager Marcia and housekeeper Sharon made sure that all of our needs were met. We requested an independent chef (which is available for hire) and he made us all 2 meals per day to die for. The chef and Sharon assisted us with the food shopping and made sure that the freshest foods, fish and fruits were always available to us. Sharon maintained the house spotlessly, making certain that bed linens and towels were refreshed daily. The grounds at Fantasea are lush with many tropical flowers and palm trees. The house is on a hill which makese for great daily exercises: walking, jogging or running after nonstop rum punch drinks and two decadent meals per day. The owner, Rudy, is a great and fair business man. Rudy we loved your home, loved its architectural design and your decorating style. Marcia, Sharon and Chef Elvis, thanks for extending yourself to us and making our trip forever memorable. WE WILL BE Back!! Only not nearly so many of us at one time!!!
This was our first time vacationing in a rental home with staff and we wouldn't hesitate to do it again.We were 4 families totalling 8 adults and 6 children and the villa was large enough for each family to have their own private bedroom and ensuite.It was so lovely to be able to put the younger children to bed and then enjoy relaxing by the pool and have some adult time knowing they were only down the hall, a luxury we would not have had at an all inclusive.The staff pulled 2 long tables out on the deck so that we could all sit together for our meals and even managed to come up with a high chair for the baby.The villa was beautiful and relaxing with breathtaking views and sunsets.There was more than 1 disagreement over who got to lay in the hammock! Jenny, Carl & Peter were fantastic.Carl was always there to help with anything we needed and Peter's cooking was second to none-he's missed his calling with landscaping.We asked him to cook local cuisine and we thoroughly enjoyed brown stew chicken and pork, shrimp, spiny lobster, beans & peas and a personal favourite calaloo.He also has a real talent for decadent blender drinks.We had expressed a desire to see the country and get to know the people so Jenny took us to the fish market and Peter took us up into the hills to the local open air market when residence do their weekly shopping.Jenny arranged for her daughter to come braid our girls hair so we got to know her a bit.Marcia arranged a car & driver for the week that would transport all 14 of us. This was wonderful as we would have needed 3 taxi's to go anywhere.Mikey (our driver) was waiting when we arrived and made us feel safe and helped us to navigate the tourist traps.He also waited at the airport on our departure day until we were all checked in and safely on our way.He was literally at our beck and call all week-even when we just needed a red stripe run to town. As other guests have noted, it is quite a ways up on a hill (hence the spectacular view) and just not worth the walk for us.We spent a day at 7 mile beach in Negril and another in Montego bay and called that our beach days.The Olympics were on that week so we will likely be known as the Canadians who came with laptop and projector and watched the hockey games on the wall of the villa while sitting in the pool.I think we may have converted Carl to a hockey fan.Thank you to our hosts for being so welcoming and accommodating and allowing us to be a part of their family for the week!
The villa was great! Nice, clean and maintained with a great house staff. The listing's photos accurately portray the property. Amazing views everywhere you look! Beaches are within walking distance. The owner was very helpful with questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend this place to friends & family. There are also many things to do nearby, including boating, swimming, snorkelling, jet skis, restaurants or just hanging out on the balcony.

The Villa was very clean and comfortable. We spent time in Whitehouse as well as 8 other parishes. Negril is about 39 miles from the villa and beach about 5 mins. The view from the master bedroom is breathtaking! Every night a different sunset. We had fruit right off the trees on the property. Fresh fish from a nearby fisher village! Fantastic! I really can't wait for our next vacation. I would recommend young & old to experience Jamaica at it's best at FantaSea Villa. My family and I just spent the most wonderful time at FantaSea Villa! The home is most comfortable and the staff (Jen and Carl) were pleasant and very accomodating. The view from this villa is stunning! You can see the beautiful south sea coast as you witness incredible sunsets in the evening. As the staff provides for your every need, the only thing you have to think of is what you want to eat next and what wonderful adventure you will experience that day. The villa is perfect for familes with or without children. We are already planning to return to FantaSea as soon as we can!
Three families (ages 5-46) spent Christmas at the Fanta Sea Villa and we loved it. The house is spacious and slept 12 people perfectly. The swimming pool was a great place to cool down and the kids spent a great deal of time in it. The beach is technically in walking distance but for most of us on holidays, we are not likely to walk that distance. Getting a driver was one of the best decisions we made. We hired him for the week and he was available 24/7. He drove us to the beach, tours, airport, markets and sightseeing. (Ask for Michael..the best driver in Jamaica!) There are many activities within an hour of the house: ziplining, tubing, YS Falls, snorkelling, beaches, shopping. We also recommend hiring the chef. Peter cooked for us, 2 meals a day, and they were always fantastic. (You do have to stop to get groceries before you get to the house..not too difficult though as we had a preapproved menu and Marcia sent us a grocery list.) He also makes fabulous banana daquiries and pina coladas! The house also has great security. Carl stays on sight during the visit to make sure all goes well. In addition, he climbs trees to get coconuts, organizes anything you may want to try, plays cards and has a great sense of humour. Jen was the housekeeper and the house was always clean and tidy. Meeting these people added a dimension to the trip that we would never have gained had we stayed at a resort. Hopefully, we will be back!
My wife and I and our 5 kids ages 11-17 stayed in Rudy's beautiful home the week of 11/8-11/15. Rudy and his on-site staff (Marcia, Jenni and Carl) are great to deal with and they all went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable, safe and relaxing vacation. The house and grounds are simply gorgeous and after having driven approximately 1,200 km across nearly 2/3d's of the island in our rented Hiace van (we flew in/out of Kingston), I can say without hesitation that Whitehouse is a great location to stay with the best views, beaches and sunsets anywhere. The locals are very friendly and Jenni's cooking is out of this world (she had dinner waiting for us every night). We highly recommend going to YS Falls, but go early before the tour buses arrive for a more personalized tour; and the Appleton Estate Rum tour is worth the drive (very scenic). Lover's Leap and Treasure Beach are close seconds, and the city of Black River and and the public beach and jerk stands at Blue Fields' Beach are both must sees. Can't wait to go to go again; and thank you all for the wonderful vacation.
I left this beautiful paradise peice of land in October and still can't stop telling my friends enough about the serenity and beauty of this rest stop.I mean for the money and great staff who are available for you at all times I just couldn't be more happy...And if your wondering ...Yes my booking for another 2wk visit is done as well with a few other couples..Rudy again you and your staff have proven to be some combination of success when it come to making your visitors feel like family...Again thank you for letting me enjoy another peaceful vacation (with some partying also) at your beautiful villa...
This is my second time at this villa. I even stayed longer this yr. My girlfriends an I had a ball!!! The beaches we went to were wonderful! The food was great ,jens the best you cant beat her prices. You do need a car but getting around is easy. We had no problems with shopping or partying! The villa is lovely you dont need alot of tvs your on vac! I cant what to go again! Luv luv luv!!!
My first trip to Jamaica was when I was 5 years old, in my mid 30's now, and this past June was my 21st trip to the island. So I have seen my share of Jamaica, which in itself is a great place to be, my home away from home. Have stayed in everything from 5 star luxury all inclusive to very basic bunk houses on the island. I have to say this past trip was one of the best. The villa, its owner, and staff are all very engaged with making your visit what you want it to be. Rudy kept in contact to make sure we were happy, Marcia was a very attentive and respectful manager, Jen and Peter took great care of us, and Carl, I miss Carl, great guy, always right there when you needed him. The villa was as described, well kept, and all the ammenities you need in Jamaica. On a very steep hill (as one review mentions), which provides for a GREAT view. In Whitehouse, a very small fishing village, nothing like MoBay, Negril, Ocho... much more laid back, no hassles on the streets or the beaches (no vendors, pushers, etc). One small maintenance issue with the AC, and Marcia had someone there that day to fix it, NOT typical in Jamaica.... usually a 2-3 day response to anything is quick. That impressed me. If you don't get down to the local towns to buy your fish fresh off the boat, visit the local markets to get your produce, mingle with the natives, you are making a HUGE mistake..... that is what makes Jamaica so great. Its best if you do have a car, the drive isn't bad, but if you want a 4 lane highway, free of potholes, dont go to Jamaica.... or any 3rd world country for that matter.
10 of us (5 adults, 5 children-ages 4-60) stayed in this home Feb. of 2011. This villa is Beautiful, it is everything that was described to be and more! The view is breathtaking! Marcia met us at the airport along with the driver (Leroy aka Ellie) that she arranged for us for the week. She then visited us the following morning. Rudy also phoned to make sure everything was going good. Jennie was an awesome housekeeper and cook - we always had clean towels,etc. We chose to do most of our own cooking but when she did cook for us it was amazing (even our picky kids loved her meal) Carl the groundskeeper was wonderful--I cannot say enough about him - our kids fell in love with him, as well as Ellie-he drove us everywhere and anywhere anytime! They became part of our family! My kids cried at the airport when we said our good bye's to Carl & Ellie!!
This was easily the best place we stayed in Jamaica and is not misrepresented in any way on the site description. The villa is well maintained and comfortable and we were looked after very well by Jenny and Carl. In addition to all of their other duties ensuring our stay was comfortable, Jenny even did our personal laundry (which we didn't expect) and Carl made sure we were safe and had emergency lighting when we had an unexpected power cut. Security was important to us as we were 2 women and a small child staying on our own and it was reassuring to know that the owner and staff saw safety as paramount also. I mentioned to Carl that a handle was loose on the door to the pool and the same day it was secured. Any queries we had were answered immediately by Marcia and the use of the villa mobile phone was a Godsend. Rudy, the owner is friendly, helpful and easy to deal with. We had extra guests one night at short notice and this was dealt with without any problems. We were travelling with a lively 15 month old child and felt that the villa was safe for her (with the usual adult supervision around the pool, steps etc). This was not the case in other accommodation we had booked (but didn't stay!). We were able to compare the standard of accommodation to 4 other places we stayed in and this was the best by far. The villa is located in a wonderful setting where you can relax in style. It is also a short drive to YS Falls, the Appleton Rum Factory, Treasure beach and other attractions. We hope that we will be fortunate enough to return one day and would recommend Fantaseavilla to anyone wishing to stay in this beautiful area of the island.

Me and my girlfriends stayed from August 15 - August 22. (Should of stayed longer) The house was beautiful. Tropical view was gorgeous. Jen and Carl were so kool. Jen's oxtails will melt in your mouth (OMG!) Wayne took us all around the island to show us fun and we had fun. (Some nites are a blurr) It's a great adult getaway - "Chillaxing" in Jamaica. WE WILL BE BACK!
After staying at this beautiful oasis on May 15 2010 I found this to be the utmost best vacation I've had in many many years.With the help of the staff and views it can't be touched.Relaxing was a must with the stress I endure daily so this was needed without a doubt.If you need pampering this is definitely the oasis that you need to enjoy. After leaving you may want to tell friends and family of this once in a lifetime vacation at a very reasonable price.My reservation is already done for 2011 and if your smart you should book also.
We stayed in this home in March of 2010 and I am now looking at another trip for March 2011 and we are seriously considering coming back. It was the best trip we ever had! We brought our three children and two young adults in their early twenties and there was something for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed the company of Waine, Kim, Jen and Rolando. The view was amazing. Waine took us to all the best spots and we were very impressed with how the owner followed up to make sure everything was ok while we were there.
What an outstanding location and great setup for a relaxing vacation. The cook service was excellent and we enjoyed authentic Jamaican dishes. We highly recommended this villa.
We had the opportunity to spend 2 weeks in December and it was the best decision we could have made. We were looking for an non commercialized tourist setting and this exceeded our expectations. The remote location of the property in the hills overlooking the beautiful Caribbean left us with memories of some of the most spectacular sunsets ever. If you like to see a sky full of stars, this is the place to be. An everlasting impression. Now back to the villa itself. It is surrounded by beautiful flowers , trees and birds. The villa has 3 different levels of which we loved the 3rd floor of the house the best. You are able to look right at the sea from your bed. The best choice for traditional food is named JENNY. She prepared a wide variety of delicious local dishes for us that we still talk about. The property manager Marcia was very communicative/informative . She met us in person upon arrival and stayed in touch throughout our stay. Roland made himself available, when we needed local information or transportation. Overall for the 5 of us coming from Europe as well as the USA it was the Best vacation ever, if you enjoy something off the beaten path this is the place to be. Probability of going back there a 100%.

My husband and I stayed at FantaSea Villa in May 2009. We had a great stay.Everything was wonderful.I was very nervous about the safety of staying outside of a resort type hotel before leaving. However,we felt safe the entire time. We walked in and out of town and the locals/neighbors were very friendly and helpful. They toured me through their private gardens and offered me mango straight from their trees. The beach and the Villa were awesome. The pool was private with great views. Thanks to Jennifer everything was clean. She cooked us great meals and even went grocery shopping for us. Rol was always very helpful and we enjoyed meeting them both and miss them! If you're looking for a peaceful vacation, away from tourist this is the place. Thanks Rudy for sharing your paradise!

I have been to FantaSea Villa six times and have enjoyed every minute of my time there. One trip was with nine people, including three teenagers. The home is so spacious, we never felt crowded and even the kids had a great time. Other trips have been with adults and that was equally as enjoyable. The view is fantastic and the tropical breeze so relaxing. Having been there many times, I have become comfortable and at home in the village of Whitehouse. The caretaker of the property is wonderful and has been invaluable in showing us his country and our children loved him. If you enjoy more privacy than a big resort, you should check out FantaSea Villa.
Had a great time, the property was clean,safe and most of all friendly. The staff members,Rol and Jennifer were extremely efficient and friendly. There was nothing more we could have asked for. We took advantage of the masseuse and jennifers local cooking GREAT. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a lay back vacation but not feel isolated or unable to go anywhere. Also the beach, just a couple minutes away was fantastic, most times we had it to ourselves. The view at night from our own balcony off the bedroom along with a cool drink is absolutely fantastic.
We enjoyed our stay at this villa; it was more than the photos portrayed. If you are looking for a place to unwind, this is it; beautiful tropical vista; cooling-off pool, fantastic sunsets. The villa is very spacious and is designed so you have your own area to retreat to; there were four couples and this was a bonus. If I were to go to Jamaica again I propably stay here again. The staff were very accomodating and helpful. I would suggest that you rent a vehicle, to get to see many of the nearby beaches and nature sites; as well as visit some authentic Jamaican restaurants, The fresh seafood is wonderful.
Stayed for a week and the house is beautiful. Staff members Rolland and Jennie were more than lovely and kind. I would recommend this villa to anyone who wishes a relaxing vacation.
My girlfriend and I visited FantaSea Villa in Nov. of 2008 and were completely satisfied with our accomodations. We had initially been apprehensive about a private villa but we knew we did not want to stay in the "chain type" hotels, however, we could not have been happier with our destination. The villa was clean, new, and felt like a the home away from home we were looking for. The beach was right down the street and the views were epic. We felt perfectly safe and comfortable our whole trip. Thanks to Rudy for allowing us to stay and we hope to return soon! Also thanks to the wonderful staff who not only picked us up at the airport, but acted as our private chauffer and cook. Thanks again!
