LOCATION: The JOY CHALET near Asheville NC is conveniently located at the south edge of Asheville (just a mile from Interstate 26, exit 40) close to restaurants and shopping. It’s at the end of a cul-de-sac in a lovely woodlands setting in a quiet residential neighborhood of cedar chalets and the back yard borders a 33 acre woodlands. This ideal location is between Asheville and Hendersonville with only 15 to 20 minutes to either downtown, the Biltmore Estate and to hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway, DuPont State Forest, Pisgah Forest and many of our quaint mountain towns!

LIVING ROOM: As you first enter, you'll notice a cheerful gas log river stone fireplace with remote control set in a soaring 20 foot wall featuring a lovely oil painting. The luxurious, very comfortable couches with carved wood details and rich marble tables are quietly elegant and a perfect nest to watch your flat screen 37" HDTV with simple-to-use built-in DVD. Choose from over 100 movies in our movie library or watch cable TV. Better yet, it’s the ideal spot to just peacefully relax and unwind in front of the fire.
KITCHEN: Your delightful eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with quality cookware! You have full size appliances including refrigerator, ceramic glass cooktop with self-cleaning oven, dishwasher, microwave, and disposal. Enhance your meals by serving them on our festive dinnerware, heavy glasses and quality silverware. You’ll find cooking knives, a multitude of quality pots, pans, bake dishes, cookie sheets, cake pans, pizza pan, muffin pans, hand mixer, toaster, blender, waffle iron, coffeemaker and even a coffee grinder for your freshly brewed coffee. There are plenty of kitchen accessories & gadgets to please any chef. You’ll also find a selection of basic spices. Off the kitchen, is a high-tech full size washer and dryer for your convenience. You'll also find a pretty power room half bath.

Drink a morning cup of coffee in the deck chairs or venture out into the yard to enjoy the picnic area, fire pit and gas grill. Walk the woodlands path to the creek where there is a bench swing suspended from a tree. Ah, the romance of it all!
ADDITIONALLY….There are ceiling fans throughout as well as central air conditioning although seldom needed in the Blue Ridge Mountains. In addition to the full bathroom upstairs, there is a lovely half bath powder room on the first level. For the fun of it, there is a vintage 1948 Scrabble board with wooden tiles, a 1961 Monopoly game, a 1974 Easy Money game plus games such as chess, checkers, playing cards, Yahtzee, etc. In addition, we have selection of enjoyable paperback novels.
