Asheville Vacation Home Rentals

ABOUT VACATION RENTALS IN ASHEVILLE
Asheville in North Carolina is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Asheville NC is a place of intense scenic beauty, and the home of rich Appalachian traditions, and mountain craftsmen and artists. Asheville, like Andrews, has developed a reputation as a thriving artistic enclave. Outdoor enthusiasts can spend some quality time at the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Great Smoky Mountains. Activities at Asheville vacation rentals include hiking, horseback riding, fishing, boating, mountain biking, etc.

The Biltmore Estate built by George Washington Vanderbilt is the most famous attraction. It's a 250-room French Renaissance style home, and the largest single family house ever built in the United States. The Great Outdoors can be experienced and enjoyed in abundance at Asheville Cabin Rentals, Asheville Vacation Homes or Asheville NC Condo Rentals, with hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding forming part of the itinerary. The Appalachian Trail provides the biggest trek, and runs through part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and parts of Pisgah National Forest, with the Blue Ridge Parkway close at hand. Mount Mitchell, which is the highest peak east of the Mississippi River, Mount Pisgah, and Craggy Gardens, having an abundance of the waterfall are some of the most popular destinations along the trail.

Water sports enthusiasts have much to look forward to at Asheville. Anglers would love to head to Lake Julian, where they'll find the bass, bream, catfish, and even imported tilapia. Other popular lake activities here are sailing and canoeing. Anglers can also head to Lake Lure, about 25 miles southeast of Asheville, where bass, bream, and trout greet them. The specialty of the lake is a sandy beach that's great for working on your tan. Located in the heart of Pisgah National Forest is the Lake Powhatan. It has a beach and plenty of fishing holes as well. The French Broad River provides for some thrilling water rafting.

Golf also is part of the itinerary at Asheville. The Grove Park Inn Resort has a course designed by Donald Ross, the famous golf architect. Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer frequent the course for teeing it up. Asheville is also a food lover's delight.
