We had a great experience at the Johnson Cabin.
Comfy well stocked house. Quick responses from owner on any questions. We have stayed in the area since 1990 and this house was perfect for 3 generations. Loved being able to go down the hill to fish on the Rio Grand and short drive into Creede and to Freemons. Located in back of community on the river but not close to neighbors. We will definety stay here again!!
Very comfortable house and beautiful location. Good access to the river and town. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Homey and very pretty home. We went with 7 adults and were very comfortable. Everyone was pleased with the accommodation. Would not hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area. Thanks for the hospitality!
We had a groups of 8 adults staying in this cabin for the weekend of a friends wedding. It was spacious and comfortable for everyone. The surrounding scenery was beautiful as well!! An overall great stay.
We spent a week at the Johnson cabin near Creede in August 2016. This was our 6th year in Creede but first year at the Johnson cabin. The cabin is in a great location, just a few miles from the town of Creede. The house is on the river with great access for fishing. You can also fish the public access areas upstream and downstream of the cabin near Marshal Park campground. The cabin was very comfortable and met all of our needs. We used the wood burning stove for heat and the girls liked snuggling around the stove to warm up in the evenings. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fully outfitted with everything we needed to cook our meals. Cell phone service is spotty in this area. Service would come in and out but you could usually get service by driving or walking up the road. Overall we were very pleased with the house and would stay there again. It would be nice to have a TV or internet service.
