It is also close to the Lake Lanier Islands water park, a family fun center, a kangaroo refuge, the Northeast Mountains, many nature areas and other attractions, and has an easy access to Dahlonega (a tourist town about 20 minutes away), Helen (a tourist town about 35 minutes away), Cumming, Gainesville, Alpharetta, Buckhead and Atlanta, as well as Hartsfield Jackson International Airport (about 65 miles away).
