    As you enter the front hall with its gleaming hardwood floors, and thoughtful side tables for keys, wallets, and purses, the first thing you’ll notice is living spaces that manage to be both stylish and luxurious, while still maintaining an inviting and family-friendly atmosphere. 
     
    The cozy living room is found adjacent to the generous, family-sized kitchen. Its decor is Beachy Luxe - a delightful combination of soothing neutral shades, with bright pops of complementary colors and decor. 
     
    Sink into either the L-shaped sofa or one of the two cozy side chairs. Perhaps you’ll want to stream your favorite shows or movies on the Smart TV w/high-speed WiFi. If not, curl up with a good book. Or maybe challenge a family member to one of the many board games, or even try your hand at a puzzle. 
     
    If this is a working vacation, take advantage of our dedicated work area with a chair, charging station, and enough room for your printer. 
     
    Cooking & Dining
    The gorgeous kitchen will no doubt tempt even the most reluctant chef! This ultra-modern space features all the amenities you’ve come to expect in a luxury home. From stainless steel appliances to solid-surface countertops, to pendant lighting, to a long kitchen island with seating for 4, this fully-equipped kitchen has everything you might need to create even the most demanding and intricate recipes. 
     
    The formal dining room is elegant and inviting, with a timeless sideboard displayed neatly against the wall, a beautiful chandelier tucked into the trayed ceiling and coastal artwork on the walls. Not only will it be a pleasure to dine in style here, it may even inspire you to create a new family tradition of dining together with conversation and laughter instead of electronic devices.

    Sleeping Accommodations and Bathrooms
    The Wandering Turtle offers 3 bedrooms (each with a Smart TV) and accommodations for up to 10 guests. 
     
    Taking advantage of a split bedroom plan, the master suite is at the other end of the home from the two other bedrooms. As parents ourselves, we wanted to create a “vacation within a vacation” ambiance for this space. It’s been outfitted with a romantic 4-poster king-sized bed and a corner armchair with its own eclectic light and side table, perfect for reading or just relaxing. The artwork is colorful and cheerful. The big soaking tub in the master bath offers a pampering treat, which every parent so richly deserves! Other features in this spa-like space include dual vanities.  
     
    The second bedroom is the children’s lair, with its triple bunk bed (with 3 twin mattresses), and a truly innovative bean bag that opens up into a double bed (see how it works here). Now they can all pile up together for a vacation-long sleepover party!
     
    This room also serves as the game room, with an old-style digital arcade, featuring more than 399 games. You may never see the kids at all during vacation.
     
    The third bedroom has a double bed with a twin trundle. A distinctive mermaid mural makes this a uniquely styled sanctuary. When you’ve finished watching the Smart TV or listening to your favorite tunes on Alexa, you’ll feel like you’re drifting off to sleep in an underwater retreat. 
     
    The second and third bedrooms share a full hall bath with a tub/shower.
     
    This backyard oasis was built for family fun and memory-making. Just steps out the back door is the large free-form pool, with a shallow toddler area and a fun tiki umbrella. In case the kids want to stay on dry land, there’s still plenty of fun to be had! There’s a playhouse to explore and a big, fenced yard to exhaust themselves in.  
     
    Interested in a lazy day lounging around the pool? There’s no better way to do that than relaxing in the covered cabana, complete with a cozy chaise lounge for two. 
     
    Enjoy your meals al fresco at the outdoor dining table for 6, while enjoying the freshly grilled fish (or good ol’ burgers and dogs) from the gas grill. 
     
    About the Owner
    Hi, we’re Nichole and Jpaul! We are long-time locals to the Navarre area and are active in the community. We were childhood sweethearts who found their way back to each other and married in 2016. Between our 8 children, we like to think of ourselves as a modern-day Brady Bunch!
     
    We have a big heart for our community and foster a culture of gratitude in our home. We love to give back to the Gulf Coast Foster Bridge and the local homeless community, among other local outreaches.
     
    We have 7+ years of experience in Emerald Coast real estate. When the coronavirus hit, we held our breath and took the plunge to create safe vacation spots in which you don’t even have to leave home to have a full vacation experience.
     
    Seeing how the virus left us all wanting a safe and controlled environment, we decided to build a brand that caters to families and focuses on “Vacation in a Box”, with everything you need right on-site. We wanted to give our guests the ability to enjoy a vacation, but still be able to stay safe.
     
    In 2021, we opened our first short-term rental and Wanderlust Vacation Homes was born.
     
    In the fall of 2021, we purchased a sailboat named Serendipity. Our plan is to sail around searching for new vacation rental opportunities. Our goal is to one property for each of our 8 children to one day own and operate.
     
    Our vision is to show our family that the world is much bigger than the town they see on a daily basis. Our world is much bigger than our own backyard. We are all part of a global community just ready to be explored and experienced.

    For your comfort, Extra towels, linens, pillows, blankets, a baby monitor, personal fans for bunk beds, a portable Bluetooth speaker, an essential oil diffuser and an air Ionizer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hair dryer.
     
    Included outdoor/ beach accessories: Floats for pool, backpack cooler, small cooler
    beach chairs, large family-size sheet to sit on the beach, sand toys and beach towels.

    Our family booked for Christmas. From the moment we walked in we were amazed.

    Our family booked for Christmas. From the moment we walked in we were amazed. The Christmas tree was all set up and decorated, the lights were on for us, there was Christmas music playing in the background., and she even put up Christmas stockings with a gift inside for each of my kids! The only thing that could’ve made our arrival better would be Mrs Clause baking cookies in the kitchen. Lol! Nichole went above and beyond in all aspects. She helped us find fun places to go for Christmas lights all the way to places for the kids for New Years Eve activities. She is an amazing super host and I would totally recommend her place and will definitely be back.

    Nichole is an amazing host!! She made her self available for any questions we had. The property was exactly what we expected it to be. Very clean and very welcoming. We will definitely be spending more of our vacations here.

    My nieces and I needed a quick beach vacay and this place made our trip so amazing! This place was amazing, and Nichole is so responsive! The pool is super nice and everything inside and out was so clean! This house has everything you'll need- even board games, beach chairs and sand buckets for the 'little' ones- although my 14 yr old neice grabbed them up and played with them on the beach! The only 'issue' was the presumed assailant knocking on the side of the house but it was training exercises from the nearby military bases! Omg... imagine my embarrassment when I dialed 911! So just know that our military men and women are training to keep us safe! It was actually soothing- one morning I sat out on the front porch in one of the rocking chairs and thanked God for our country!! Thank you again Nichole!

    We loved our stay at The Wandering Turtle.

    We loved our stay at The Wandering Turtle. This is in a very quiet neighborhood which was so peaceful. Restaurants and bars a quick 5-10 minute drive! Beautiful decorations and a very cozy vibe as well. The space was very clean and so organized. We enjoyed our time in the pool and in the outdoor space! The bunk beds were awesome as well. Definitely great for a family stay but the adults were cozy in the bunk beds too! I would love to come back to this space and stay again!!

    Very nice clean and updated house.

    Very nice clean and updated house. Nichole was very easily accessible and helpful along the way. A tropical storm was heading our way and JPaul (Nichole's husband) came by to go over everything and put our mind's at ease. The house is beautiful and the pool is GREAT! Nichole and her husband were GREAT! Would totally recommend!
