Thank you for allowing my family to use your beautiful beach house! The sunset views, pool, and living spaces made our stay so enjoyable. The two living spaces allowed us to be together but with enough space to spread out. We had a great time and highly recommend Helen's place!
It’s hard to select a vacation home without actually seeing it. But we did. Based mostly on the feedback from others. We were pleasantly surprised and beyond thrilled with the pool, the home’s location, and the amenities!! We could not have asked for anything better!! There was ample room for the grandparents, parents, and grandchildren without feeling too crowded. Can’t recommend this highly enough!! Thanks Helen!!
Overall the house was nice. Could use some updates and a hard cleaning. Ceiling upstairs in the dining room was either dirty or had mold on it. The AC vents were pretty dirty through both houses. Kitchen cabinets and drawers were pretty sticky and dirty.
Had a great time. Teen buys were able to fish the bay with little supervision because it was so close to youse and we could see them from the front balcony. Plenty of towels. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of dishes and cook wear. We enjoyed our stay there for sure. House owner super friendly and made sure there was nothing else she could do to be sure we had a great time.

This awesome house helped make our trip one we will always remember. We are a rather large family with 5 kids, a grandson, and son-in-law. The open concept and large living area upstairs made it easy for us to spend quality time together, while having the other space downstairs gave us plenty of room when we needed a little space. The pool was the perfect way to start the day as we were all moving at different speeds, and the perfect way to end the day after beach time. The kitchen was stocked with everything I could have possibly needed and the house was very clean. The ice maker was definitely a plus! The owner, Helen, was super responsive and said multiple times that all she asked of us was to enjoy our stay. Even when I contacted her to ask what we needed to do before we left concerning bedding and towels and such, she said just enjoy your last night. The cleaning crew will take care of that. 5 stars aren't really enough to show my level of satisfaction with this property. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed staying near the bay...seemed much quieter than on the ocean. Our family loved the pool and being able to walk/bike ride in the neighborhood. Having 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was great..
We had age range from 8 to 63. It worked perfect for us. Two kitchens with two refrigerators was nice. Ice maker upstairs. We chose to cook at home and both kitchens were utilized and charcoal bbq grill worked well. Helen was very easy to deal with they the whole process. We will book this property again. Pool with outdoor shower and bathroom was good. Good parking and great location! Very clean!

This house was a perfect size to accommodate my family size. The private pool and bayside views were amazing! The location was away from the hustle and bustle of the beach traffic, but still a couple blocks away from a beach entrance. Plenty of dishes and cookware. My family was very impressed with the home! There are two rooms upstairs with 2 bathrooms, two other rooms downstairs with a private kitchenette and bathroom. Helen was kind and very attentive. She made our experience pleasant. Definitely plan on staying again when we return. Thank you!
The property was clean. The kitchen had everything you would need to have great family dinners. There were plenty of towels and linens. My kids loved the pool. There was plenty of space for everyone. Helen was so kind. It is just a 10 min walk to the beach and 1 min to the bay. Great property! You can see the water from every part of the house. Would definitely stay there again.
House was perfect , the owner was so pleasant to deal with. I wasn’t aware the 2 bedrooms and 1 bath with kitchenette downstairs were separate from the main kitchen , dining , and 2 baths , 2 bedrooms upstairs, but it worked out fine. Lots of pots, pans, bath towels . Pool was great . Would definitely rent again.
We loved the house! Nice clean and roomy!! Helen was great! Only issue was that the wifi doesnt work bc its not set up for us to have access. Theres a code there but its blocked on their end. Also the pictures show a deck but its a private deck the house does not have access to it. Other than that it was a beautiful home and a short drive to the beach!! Lovely home!!!!
There was plenty of room for our party of 8! Walk to the beach! Well kept property. Plenty of everything you needed to fill welcome and at home.

This house was more than we had expected it had everything and more than you need to towels, pillows, blankets, ,pots and pans . Most house we rent lack a lot of what you would need not this house very cozy and felt like home the pool was a plus great views from the from balcony. I would rent this again. If you looking for a house this is the one . It’s perfect for a family vacation or even just a weekend get away. We loved it. We wish we could have stayed longer, but we will be back.

I’ll start off by saying these are the feelings expressed by our large group that stayed in the home. From the minute the house was booked, Helen was an absolute joy to speak with. 100% genuine. The house was large enough for our friends/family vacation. It’s bayside and it has a beautiful view off the front balcony. The beach is a one minute drive. Grocery stores, souvenir shops, restaurants are all just minutes down the road. The house is ridiculously cozy! The pool was the best to entertain the kiddos after the beach. Two sets of washing machines were extremely helpful so we all came back with clean clothes! We had the absolute best time here and would definitely recommend and stay here again!! Thank you Mrs. Fisher for sharing your home with us! Until next time!
Everything worked correctly, had plenty of house items Incase you forget anything. Lady is very nice and helpful and just wants you to have a great time. We would recommended this house and will be back in the future
The home was great. It was the perfect size for our family. We have a family member who is in a wheelchair and he moved with ease on the bottom floor. Beautiful views from the balconies. We loved our stay.
There were three families, total of 7 adults, 1 older child, a toddler and we had plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen and kitchenette made it easy to prepare meals by several of us separately as needed and then come together to eat in the large dining area. The upstairs kitchen has two stoves for cooking several dishes. Talk about fully stocked kitchen, anything you thought you might need is there. Plenty of linens and towels, the washer and dryer was a plus. The pool, poolside bathroom and outdoor seating area was great for evening family time. The balconies were amazing, one side you can see the beachside fireworks and the other the bayside fireworks. It had been years since we stayed on the bayside but really enjoyed the quiet location. The beach is a short walk away, the island market is a few blocks away, and restaurants are also close by. We had an amazing long weekend and plan to return again. Helen is an amazingly kind person and a joy to talk with, something you don’t always get to do when renting, since most things are so automated these days. Thank you Helen for sharing your home.
Me and my family had such a wonderful experience renting this home. We go to South Padre every year and this was by far the best place we have stayed at. I would first like to start out by mentioning the wonderful, sweet Ms. Helen Fisher. Not only is she helpful and quick to respond to you, but she is so kind and a joy to speak with. She kept the lines of communication open anytime I needed. She let me know when she received my payment and she was quick to refund my deposit. Not only is the house wonderful, but simply because of Ms. Fisher, is why I will definitely stay at her home every year from now on, as long as I am allowed. Speaking of her home, it is wonderful. It makes you have a sense of being at home. You feel nice and relaxed. It was nice and clean and it comes with everything you could possibly need. I stayed there with my husband and children, my aunt and uncle, my parents and grandparents and it was just perfect. I recommend 100%.
I have to start out by saying we renting this thinking we would be close to Corpus Christi but then we found out it was going to be a 3 hour drive each way so we made the best out of our vacation and ended up happier being in South Padre. The owner Ms. Helen was so nice and helpful with everything. The house was great, the pool was nice and the location was ok. We would have liked to have been closer to the beach but the drive wasn't bad and the bay ended up being great crabbing!! We will definitely keep this house in mind for future vacations.
I am writing this review along with group and all had individually 5 star experience. Words are not enough to describe the experience we had. Though I had been to South Padre couple of times before, I would consider this vacation as the best one. The property was absolutely fantastic, clean and very well organized and very very comfortable. The location next to bay gives the perfect feeling of relaxation. The house gives a pure feeling of being at home and relaxation. More than house, I would like to thank the Owner and her family especially her son. Knowing them was another best part of the vacation. I have been discussing with her before the vacation and she is someone who is rare to be found. One can't realize the experience unless interacts with her. She has been very honest, very caring and very attentive. As i said I cant describe her using words. House is one part, but experience of knowing her and her son is the delightful factor
I must say we were all very pleased when we arrived at this beautiful vacation home. This home was so comfortable and very big to accommodate 4 couples. We still had plenty of room if we had needed more space. This house was right on the bay and so close to the beach. This house has the most beautiful view! These pictures do not do this house justice! Helen the owner of the home is so friendly and always quick to respond if you have any questions. We got our deposit back so quick which was really nice!I felt so comfortable renting this home from her and can say we will definitely be back! In 2010, my husband and I decided to get married in South Padre and needed a larger vacation home to accommodate our family. From the moment I stepped foot into this home, I felt like I was in heaven. Everything was PERFECT! Therefore, when my husband and I decided to go back to South Padre for a vacation, I immediately went searching for this "home away from home." During the week of 4th of July we were able to rent this wonderful place and once again, we all had a blast. This home is suitable for all ages and is so comfortable. Perhaps most importantly, the owner is very polite and always is available for any assistance you may need. Like I stated before this home is PERFECT in every shape and form and whenever my family and I decide to vacation in South Padre, we always know where to go.
