SECOND GUEST HOUSE - Full use of the main floor of the second guest house is included in this listing. The guest house includes a rec room, full size golf simulator, living room with sleeper sofa and 84" linear fireplace, 3 bedrooms, kitchen, full bathroom with shower, and fully stocked bar and refrigerator. There has never been an alligator in the pond. WINDING PATHWAYS - The grounds is a certified national wildlife habitat for butterflies. The winding paved pathways will take you through the natural gardens and butterfly plants that surround the property. Over 10,000 flowering tropical plants with rich red, yellow, white and purple flowers line the nearly half mile of pathways. The most colorful time of year is summertime when dozens of species are in full bloom. See hundreds of huge, magnificent plants (which are too large for typical homes) line the 1/4 mile perimeter of the property. There are over 100 huge trees scattered throughout which provide welcome shade, cool air and homes for countless butterflies including Monarch, Gulf Fritillary, Pipevine Swallowtail, Cloudless Sulpher and Zebra Longwing (Florida's State Butterfly) who play regularly in the thousands of plants available just for them. SHOPPING - 4.5 miles to the luxurious UTC mall and shopping area. The property is in the heart of town. About a mile to grocery stores and restaurants. We include beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels, and coolers for your trips to the beach. My preference is Siesta Key beach which is rated #1 in the world. Newly renovated it has ample parking and restrooms. There are plenty of casual restaurants in the area as well as bars for dancing late into the night. Sunday night an hour before sunset there is a drum circle on Siesta Key beach which attracts dozens of drummers and hundreds of onlookers, dancers, and interesting characters. Definitely entertaining for young and old. OUTDOOR FUN - There is a sound system, TV, and outdoor lighting on the patio. Corn hole bean bag toss game is ready for action! A bar is available outdoors for drinks. Lots of outdoor seating and tables. Large putting green can be used for Bocce Ball and other activities. GOLFERS - Full service catering for golfers! I can take you out on a boat from to fish in the calm intercoastal waters. We can beach the boat and have a picnic. I have plenty of coolers for food and drinks along with beach chairs and umbrellas. If you prefer deep waters there are charter fishing boats in the area located at where there are 50 boats for hire. BOATING - Many boats are available to rent in the area. The inter-coastal area is very calm and great fun. Join dozens of other boaters for fun in the sun. BBQ - Propane BBQ is available for cook outs. A cook is available for hire. Parties can be catered. I am currently a contract drone pilot. I work for the USAF and several other companies. I enjoy gardening as a past time which is why I have such a large garden.
The pictures do not do it’s subject justice. The home is even more beautiful than the pictures reflected! The master suite is a huge space, all of the guests that stayed with me at the house reported great sleep and a real homey feel. The owner made himself available when needed (I.e. lock information or propane tank refills). I would highly recommend this location to others!

We had a really nice stay here lots to do. We totally enjoyed our stay. The house was great and the area was great. Grocery stores and restaurants down the road and a short drive to the beach. The house pool and grounds make you not want to leave them.
We had a great weekend! The pool and hot tub were great, the rooms were big and clean and the property was full of fun games and everything we could need for a few fun days in the sun. I would highly recommend coming back here. Thank you to the hosts!

What a great place to stay in Sarasota. We travelled with two families and 9 people. Plenty of sleeping space for everyone. Great space in the kitchen and great room. The backyard pool and grounds are fantastic. While the great beaches, restaurants and shopping are just a short drive away hanging out in the pool and hot tub was one of our favorite things to do. The grill, putting green, ping pong table and other games made it an easy place to relax and enjoy good friends and family. There is so much space to hang out and relax in the outdoor areas with a tv, fire and outdoor bar area with fridge. Working with Gene was very easy and he was very accommodating. We would definitely book here again if our travels take us back to this area.
This home is in a great location for all activities in the Sarasota area. Our group was impressed with the unique landscape of this property. It was very private and had all of the amenities one could ask for. The pool & hot tub were very refreshing. We also used the propane fire pit several evenings . Truly a paradise in a quiet Sarasota neighborhood From the private, almost Batman-like entrance into a manicured landscaped driveway, to the warm and welcoming entrance and easy-living great room, to the OMG pathways around the property that includes a beautiful pond with fish and turtles, this is an amazing property. The master suite with private bath, large walk-in closet and access to the huge and well-appointed lanai is both peaceful and secluded. The other two bedrooms, on the other side of the home, are well-sized and share another very nice bath. The lanai with lovely pool, toys, lots of comfortable furniture, large grill about anything you can think of including a popcorn machine (no kidding!) is visible from almost every room in the home. The location is convenient to numerous grocery stores, restaurants and major thoroughfares to highways (east) and to the beach (west). Quiet, well-appointed and incredibly you have an upcoming family gathering or get-together of friends this is a property you want to seriously (and I mean seriously) consider. And, the owner is very responsive and (while we did not meet him in person) is very nice.
