There has never been an alligator in the pond. WINDING PATHWAYS - The grounds is a certified national wildlife habitat for butterflies. The winding paved pathways will take you through the natural gardens and butterfly plants that surround the property. Over 10,000 flowering tropical plants with rich red, yellow, white and purple flowers line the nearly half mile of pathways. The most colorful time of year is summertime when dozens of species are in full bloom. See hundreds of huge, magnificent plants (which are too large for typical homes) line the 1/4 mile perimeter of the property. There are over 100 huge trees scattered throughout which provide welcome shade, cool air and homes for countless butterflies including Monarch, Gulf Fritillary, Pipevine Swallowtail, Cloudless Sulpher and Zebra Longwing (Florida's State Butterfly) who play regularly in the thousands of plants available just for them. Sunday night an hour before sunset there is a drum circle on Siesta Key beach which attracts dozens of drummers and hundreds of onlookers, dancers, and interesting characters. Definitely entertaining for young and old. OUTDOOR FUN - There is a sound system, TV, and outdoor lighting on the patio. Corn hole bean bag toss game is ready for action! If you prefer deep waters there are charter fishing boats in the area located at where there are 50 boats for hire. BOATING - Many boats are available to rent in the area. The inter-coastal area is very calm and great fun. Join dozens of other boaters for fun in the sun. BBQ - Propane BBQ is available for cook outs. A cook is available for hire. Parties can be catered.
