The popularity of our first Cottage at Hillside prompted us to begin the process all over again with our new cottage - the Stable. Over the past, this cottage has proved to be as popular as the Chicken Coop and we've now had two weddings and a marriage renewal here. Guests' comments range from "WOW" to "AWESOME!!!" The Stable has the same amenities as the Chicken Coop, although a different configuration and of course, as the name suggests, has an equestrian decorating theme. The shape is a miniature version of the old barn with the Dutch gambrel roof. The walls inside are yellow pine barn siding with exposed old barn beams. The floor has hunter green carpeting and the vinyl is a random stone block pattern. The far end of the room is all windows overlooking the horse meadow where the mares and their foals are out in the spring. There is a stone fireplace on the opposite wall from the king bed and the hot tub for two is in the corner beside the bed with a mirror on one wall. The wet bar is just a bit bigger than the one in the Chicken Coop and there is an antique oak table and chairs in the dining area.
