Comfortable, Peaceful, Relaxing 5/5 Stayed Apr 2019 PK B. The Hummingbird Ranch is a comfortable, peaceful place to relax and enjoy while exploring southeastern Arizona. The house is in a beautiful rural setting and comes stocked with everything you might need during your stay. The open views in every direction from the house are beautiful, and truly make this a special setting. The owners have placed bird feeders around the property, and guests who bring along a bag or two of birdfeed will be treated to non-stop opportunities for bird viewing. Another wonderful feature of this property is the amazing display of stars in the night sky. If you enjoy stargazing, this is an ideal setting. The owners, Steve and Renee, were absolutely wonderful to work with. Communication with them was exceptional from initial booking all the way through departure. They truly seemed to care that their guests had the best experience possible while staying at their property. We loved our stay at the Hummingbird Ranch and hope to be able to visit again someday. If you're seeking a comfortable, relaxing location to stay while visiting this area, this is a wonderful option. P.B. Well furnished and comfortable 5/5 Stayed Mar 2019 Allan G. This home lives up to the pictures shown on the website. The views from the house are beautiful, the inside is spacious and beautifully decorated, and a wide variety of birds come to the feeders in the yard. The host is especially helpful and friendly. She provided us with lots of good information before and during our stay. It all added up to a great week at Hummingbird Ranch. Dark skies and interesting history 5/5 Stayed Nov 2018 Tim H.Bexley near London, UK I chose the Hummingbird Ranch for its isolated location and dark skies for an astrophotography trip. It is nearly ideal for this. There are distant street lights on the horizon but nothing to interfere with observing. Bortle 2 skies and roughly 4000 feet elevation. The owner has recently added a small observatory, but I prefer setting up outside under the stars so didn’t use it. By day there was plenty to explore and the local area is rich with history - Tombstone, Fort Bowie, Bisbee and Cochise Stronghold all made fascinating trips, each with their own unique history, and they are all within 30 to 60 minutes drive. There is great hiking and beautiful countryside in Chirucahua National Monument and Conchise Stronghold. On the sunny days we enjoyed relaxing on the deck watching a wide variety of birds. The house itself is warm, comfortable and well equipped. This was a great base to explore this interesting corner of South East Asia and we enjoyed our vacation here. Very sweet place ***** 5/5 Stayed Nov 2018 Rhonda A. Good size for 2 couples. Perfect for hiking the area. Cochise Stronghold, the Chiricahua's and Fort Bowie are easily reached from the ranch. Close to Cochise stronghold and Coronado national forest 5/5 Stayed Apr 2018 Beautiful home, peaceful and quiet. Secluded location, but easy access to popular hiking destinations.. Comfortable and supplied with everything you need. Saw rabbits and road runners, kept the bird baths full, saw a variety of birds, unfortunately no hummingbirds. Great views and sunsets.. Great Vacation! 5/5 Stayed Mar 2018 We enjoyed our month stay at Hummingbird Ranch. Renee and Steve were very helpful with any questions we had. Everything was represented accurately. The house was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The surroundings were quiet, pleasant and comfortable. There was lots of information in the house about what to see and do in the area. Plus brochures, maps, printed information and history books which were great for our research for day trips. We enjoyed seeing the wildlife and birds. Sunsets were wonderful. Weather was great. Spectacular getaway! 5/5 Stayed Sep 2019 Jason K. What a gorgeous home in gorgeous surroundings! I booked the Hummingbird Ranch for an astrophotography trip, and it was simply ideal. Amazing dark skies! And, the owners have even installed a fantastic observatory that I put to great use. I want to emphasize how incredible Renee and Steve were throughout the whole process. They made sure everything was set up perfectly. Their home is beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed. It’s situated in a wonderful historic area, not far from great locations like Tombstone and Bisbee. For me, it was the perfect mix of seclusion and connection: it’s great to be in a secluded area and still have excellent cell reception! And, of course, the home is well equipped with WiFi and other amenities. The ranch property is simply beautiful. And anyone looking for spectacular dark skies will not be disappointed. Big sky beauty 5/5 Stayed Dec 2019 Michele C. We had a very nice time at this home! It was a good location to get to the Chirichuas and Cochise Strong hold and Tombstone. It was very well appointed and we had everything we needed. My only suggestion would be for some kind of water purifier for drinking water. The sulfur smell was significant and I would prefer not to have to buy bottled water. Thank you for opening up your place to visitors! Beautiful setting. Comfortable and clean. 4/5 Stayed Jan 2019 Joan S. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The deck was so nice to sit on and enjoy our morning coffee. The kitchen is well stocked with the necessary equipment. There is lots of reading material about the local history and a huge selection of movies to watch in the evenings. The night sky was amazing as well. Renee was very helpful and quick to respond to inquiries. Well-kept and stocked property close to the beauty of Chiricahua National Park. 4/5 Stayed Dec 2018 Kyle J. The owners were fantastic to work with - responsive an understanding. We enjoyed our stay in mid-December very much. The weather was great as were the sunrises and sunsets. The home is clean, functional, and the kitchen well-stocked. Highlights of our trip included hiking Echo Canyon in Chiricahua National Park followed by lunch at Sandy’s in Sunizona, day trip to Bisbee, and a visit to Marcia’s soap shop in Old Pearce.
