‘Little Paradise’ is a private home cottage set in 1200 sq.m. of tropical lush green. It is located in the valley of Assagao, between the Arabian Sea at Little Vagator beach and the small vibrant market town of Mapusa. The cottage is elegantly styled with tiled roofs, whitewashed laterite walls, large bay windows and private sit out spaces for dining, reading, meditation or sunbathing! The interiors of the cottage is furnished with all modern amenities.
‘Little Paradise’ is quiet and safe. It is perfectly suited for people who are seeking a quiet home away from home, yet only minutes away from the colourful markets, beaches, churches, forts and fishing villages of Goa.
The cottage is divided into two units. The main residential unit for rent is on on the upper floor whilst the lower independent compact garden bedroom is in the ground floor, which is usually reserved for use by the property owner.
Surrounding the cottage are tropical plants, fruit and cashew trees. An independent Caretakers unit is located at the rear of the premises. Wifi connectivity and airconditioning is available. Parking is provided.
LIVING & DINING (airconditioned, sleeps 2) The main residential upper unit overlooks the valley of Assagao and houses an elegantly furnished and spacious living and dining area, bathed in natural light... with large bay windows, comfortable spaces and sit out patios – for outdoor dining, reading or entertaining. The living room has been designed with a low divan and sofa bed which can sleep an extra person, if required.
The outdoor patio connects to a little dip pool - perfect for thet afternoon beer or chilled wine, in cool water, shaded by coconut palms.
The Dining area has a wooden table with bench seating for 6 persons, and opens to the rear verandah and garden - for barbeques, outdoor dining or a lazy afternoon in a flower shaded hammock. A fully equipped. modern, open plan kitchen adjoins the dining area.
VALLEY BEDROOM SUITE (airconditioned, sleeps 4) The living room opens to a spacious Bedroom Suite through sliding wooden shoji doors. The bedroom has a queen size bed, satellite TV, a DVD player ipod dock, wifi connectivity, lounge chairs, a library of books and magazines and is cheerful with bright rugs and curtains. A large wooden workstation desk in the room is also provided.
A queen size futon allows for seating, opens to sleep an extra person or 2 young children.
Cupboards and a locker is provided along with fresh linen, towels and an ironing table. (Beach towels not provided). The bedroom opens to a large private balcony with inbuilt seating....just perfect for that morning cup of tea or sunbathing.
The ensuite bathroom has a large indoor tub and shower facilities, washing machine, and opens to an additional outdoor shower and bathing area adding to the charm of a tropical holiday.
KITCHEN An european style open kitchen format kitchen fitted with all modern appliances - cooking range, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, microwave, barbeque set, wine cooler, filter coffee maker, electric kettle along with all cooking utensils, baking and serving dishes. Complete dinner sets, tea and coffee sets, wine glasses, cutlery and storage cupboards are also provided in the kitchen for an enjoyable and convenient preparation of food. Upon request, the caretaker of the cottage can prepare breakfast and also cook delicious goan and indian food and help with the shopping of fruits, vegetables meats, fish and exotic goan foods and ingredients from the nearby Mapusa market.
Magnificient forts, churches and temples, stately goan manor homes, grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants, health cafes, whole sale vegetable and fruit bazaars, night and day flea markets, bird watching, scenic cruises, swimming, massage, reiki, yoga – all within 10 minutes from the Little Paradise cottage.
In the village of Assagao, one wakes every morning up to sweet birdsong - bulbuls, woodpeckers and birds of colourful plumage. Famous for the healing power of its spring water, its exquisite tropical gardens and gentle breezes from the Arabian Sea, Assagao remains relatively untouched by the growing tourism.
The cottage is a 10 minute drive to the nearest beach: the quiet Little Vagator Beach, the popular Anjuna Beach & the quaint fishing village of Chapora (5 km), a 15 minute drive south to popular Baga & Calangute beaches and a 20 minute drive north to serene untouched Morjim, Ashvem, Mandrem beaches.
