My family of five were there Jan. 09 to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We had researched many many villas in the Mayan Riviera and we kept coming back to Casa Caribbean Soul as the place to stay. Solitude, location, water, amenities, and style, style, style. If we had just noticed that sea turtle that was in our video while we were there we would never have left that beautiful bay. And there are very few, if any, other villas that can boast enjoying sunsets across water, from the roof no less! It was for us 'the way' to share our family time. Kudos to Jadee, Casa Caribbean Soul is special.
My family and I have just returned from 9 nights at Casa Caribbean Soul. We had a great time. The house is beautifully furnished and equipped, everything is just as described. Marcos and Leydi were very kind and accommodating to our needs. It was great that they were so close if we needed anything. The beach was stunning and whilst the entry to the ocean does indeed need water shoes, once swimming it is gorgeous. Because of the location of the property we were far less bothered by sea weed than other houses in Tankah Bay and much less so than in Tulum. Jadee was extremely helpful in setting up the rental and super responsive to emails and questions, it made the whole process easy and less stressful than with other properties we have rented. I would highly recommend staying at Casa Caribbean Soul for a relaxing, luxury vacation!
This was our second stay at Cassa Caribbean Soul. It is a great house with plenty to see and do right at your doorstep. Nearby there is a "Cenote" -- a spectacular spring-fed river with great visibility and lots of fish. The caretakers, Marcus and Laydee, are very friendly and put a lot of effort into making sure you have a good stay. They prepared two wonderful dinners for us on our arrival day and our last night. There's not a better view to be had in any area restaurant, and so convenient to just pop downstairs after watching the sunset from the roof top deck.
The privacy and setting are superb, as are the many features of the house and the wonderful staff, Marcos and Leydi. One of the nicest places we have been - the multi-hued water, the terrific bird-watching, swimming in both the coral formations in the bay right off the beach and the fresh water "cenote" just down the quiet road, the luxe design and spacious bedrooms. We felt safe and the close proximity to Tulum beaches, Akumal, and other lovely areas just minutes away by car was a plus. I like to look out over the water and see the sun and sunset, and this property is S-SW facing, so the sunsets looking over the bay from the roof terrace are uniquely nice in the Riveria Maya given that most beachfronts face eastward. Just returned from a week in March, 2010. Absolutely fabulous vacation in a wonderful location at a beautiful home that exceeded our expectations. Fantastic value for the price paid. The beach is beautiful, quiet, and private with some of the best snorkeling that we have experienced. It is quite rocky and water shoes were necessary until you get out a bit past the reef. We decided that Caribbean Soul has the best location on the beach, since there are no houses close by on either side and it gets full southern exposure so you get to enjoy the sun all day long. The house is nicely maintained and very clean. The on site caretakers saw to our every need and provided some excellent meals for us. Rent a car so you can take day trips to the nearby ruins and get into town (10 minutes) for shopping, groceries, and meals. You can walk to the nearby cenote for more snorkeling. There is a restaurant within walking distance and a little convenience store, but we preferred to go into town. We were 3 couples traveling together and each couple felt that they had their own space and privacy to enjoy while sharing the convenience of a kitchen and very comfortable living area. We will absolutely definitely stay at Caribbean Soul again and would recommend it 100% to anyone who wanted to stay there, except that we want to keep this wonderful property our own personal secret! The rental experience was very easy with no problems, the owner was quick to respond to any questions and prompt with our deposit refund. Can't wait to return!
WOW! We loved our week in Tankah.The house and location were even better than we had hoped.We swam, snorkeled, and explored the bay(and cenote) on the kayaks. Took a couple of short day trips to Tulum and Chemuyil but mostly just relaxed on this beautiful property. Could not have been better.
