We purchased this home new in 2005 and it is situated perfectly on a dead end culdesac, privately wooded in back. Only a block from the best stretch of beach in the whole Panhandle. Growing up in Atlanta, Destin has always been our favorite beach. We appreciate our friends who return yearly and hope you can join us this year. The house is located on an adorable street with similar houses giving it a warm community feel!!! The pool was great!!!! Loved the house!!!!
We were impressed by the well maintained and quiet sub division. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful with directions and tips. The pool was right across the drive, well maintained and clean. There just happened to be some young kids for my 5 year old grand daughter to play with. The house was very clean and spacious and had ample room for my group of 9. The kitchen had plenty of cooking pots, pans and utensils. There was a kurig and standard coffee maker and a microwave for quick meals. There was also a grill in the back yard which used as much as the weather would allow. Due to tropical storm Cindy we drove to beaches that were protected which were not far away. We only made the walk down to the public beach by Pompano Joe's once due to the wind and waves making it too dangerous to swim. There are plenty of things to do in Destin but just be aware that the main highway can be very congested during certain times of he day. We had a great time this past week despite the weather. I would like to thank John for allowing us to rent his beautiful home for the week.

Great house! Everything was within 5-10 mins of driving, shopping, eating, fun recreational parks, name it it's there! House really felt like you are home, very clean! Beach is just down the street, great for just a walk (excersise) ???????? Owner is very nice and if ypu have any questions answers very quickly! Great backyard with a grill and big table and chairs! I highly recommend this house and will be back next year!
The Beachdog is a great vacation property. Exquisite home with all the amenities plus privacy. Would definitely recommend it to everyone.
Close to all the shopping, restaurants and the beach. It was one of the best places we've stayed in the area. It really felt like home, I'd definitely rent it again if I wasn't planning on buying a place the next time I'm there. The owner is really down to earth and very easy to deal with. All around great experience.
