ABOUT VACATION RENTALS IN POIPU
Kauai island's chief attraction is the tourist spot of Poipu. Located on the southern portion of Kauai and on the coast, the soft waves make for excellent diving, scuba diving, swimming and boogie boarding. Ttennis, chopper tours, horse riding, golf, hiking, or lounging on one of the many gorgeous beaches in the area makes a day's fun at Poipu.

Poipu Beach is the most popular beach here. The beach provides opportunities for snorkeling, swimming, wading, boogie-boarding, and surfing. Poipu Beach is in fact a series of golden sand crescents, and is fronted by Poipu Beach Park and a few of the resorts. The strangely named Shipwreck's Beach is also a beautiful beach of golden sand that's on the eastern end of Poipu. Advanced surfers have the Shipwreck's Beach all to themselves for most of the year due to a short shore break. But the beach also has a spectacular shoreline trail going east for a couple of miles and you could stroll along and also sunbathe here.

The Koloa Heritage Trail provides for an exciting adventure. The trail covers an area within a radius of about four miles and covers 13 historic sites in the Poipu/Koloa area. Aftr your adventures at Poipu, you wouldn't wanna miss the Waimea Canyon located on the southwest part of Kauai. Called the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific” by Mark Twain, the Waimea Canyon is ten miles long, one mile wide and more than 3,600 feet deep. The canyon also seems to change color in green, blue, gray, and purple hues as the clouds drift in and out of the crevices! Koloa town is ideal for local history fans and shoppers. The beauty, the sun, the sand, the trails, the golf, and the history welcome you to Poipu.
